Sup man I just picked up a 2020 and the owner used castrol and said to always put a touch more in then what the manual states. 1 full quart w/o changing filter and a little over a quart if replacing filter. Does that sound about right?
Personally I wouldn’t use Castrol (not saying it’s bad.) As far as capacity yes, I always add a touch more than what the manual states. On an oil & filter change I usually put an extra 50-100cc because of some getting stuck in the funnel and drip spills etc.
I usually buy it from motosport or Amazon. I’ve used full synthetic in my last bike and had no issues. Honestly if you change your oil & filter every 3-6 hours in my opinion it doesn’t really matter what type it is. I’ve ran both full synthetic, and conventional and can’t tell a difference. Don’t stress about it. Ride safe!
You have to start the bike then let the oil settle and then check the sight glass. I’ve explained in further detail in the video. Hope you can come to an understanding of how it works.
Dude, u rock. No bs, this video was super helpful and easy to follow. Keep going bro.
Appreciate you!!
Love the channel 🔥
Thank you so much!
I’m running maxima pro plus 4 stroke full synthetic. Is that sufficient, or is there something better? Also, is API SN the same as SG, SL, SJ, SM?
I ran that same oil in my kx250f and had no problems. Your second question I do not have an answer to, sorry!
Strange. Usually 0.8-1 L is for KX250. isnt it? I own 250 and it is said 1 L.
Nice watch
Autofocus wasn’t cooperating at times

Thoughts on ams oil full synthetic?
Never used it, I’ve used ams oil dominator for 2-strokes and that’s my preferred
Where you buying your oil , thank you
I have been advised to use synthetic oil, could mineral oil cause a problem?

@@DodsCo_films thanks you 🙏🇨🇦
My 22 kx450 didn’t have that spring for the oil filter cap that’s weird
You sure you didn’t drop it? My 23 has one
IT MUST BE. it is a mistake.
Would this be the same as a 17 kx450f?
I am not sure on that one!
When i put the 0.8 without changing my filter and the oil disappears in the sight glass is that normal?
