I had a similar crimping device but removed the die (was screwed on) put it on a piece of threaded rod and used the drill press on lowest rpm instead. That produced a lot nicer crimps I found, probably due to the higher rpms softening the plastic, making the crimp smoother. A light touch of oil on the die before crimping might avoid the twisting in the hull that is occuring just below the crimp.
I feel ya on these but I think id leave out some spacers and make a shortshell. In fact I have made some but not like yours. I think I'll try a short version of this concept.
Mount your roll crimper vertically. Can't imagine why you'd use an overshot card with a slug. Ever seen a factory slug with one? Also, you can fold crimp slugs as well as roll crimp.
@@Mossy500A Have to agree! Lots of hate for it, but I never had an ounce of problems with mine. I think that sloppy usage occurs. If you are not careful with ANY holster, it may not end well for you....
Russia? So now the Russians are arming revolutionaries? LOL. Slugs are fun to shoot. I used to shoot them in the rocky creek and with a little practice you can actually see the slugs skip down the rocks with your naked eye. I haven't ever reloaded any . . . yet. What the heck is the thing on the right side of the bench with the pull cord?
Even the Ruskies don't want to see the US fail, lol. The tool with the pull cord is a Lee case trimmer. I got it for .45 ACP, until I found out that the brass for that round gets shorter, not longer.
Thanks. Didn't realise it was this easy. Tempted to try this with Brenneke / Russia type slugs

Thanks for the info.
I have that crimper. Works well. Arm gets a little tired after a while but works.
Thanks for this. Hadn't reallised it could be done this easily. I am tempted to try the Brenneke type slugs. Happy Shooting. Mike
Much appreciated.

Would be a good idea to change the batteries in your smoke detector....
If I could go back in time, sure.
Great information, man!
Thanks, bro.
I got the same roll crimper from Russia!
I use wheel bearing grease on the rolling surface. It keeps the plastic from becoming misshapen.

It was in the Lyman manual to use them.
Great videos but....Exchange the battery on your smog detector dude
That was the old me, lol.
I'm loading foster slugs in clear 3" chedditte hulls with 36gr of longshot, cb1138 was, 1/4" cork, 2-20g nitro cards with a roll crimp while I watch.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas.
Who makes the 1911 holster
Blackhawk! SERPA holster. People crap on it, but it's fine to me.

Usually, since it's part of our culture.

No flannel, I am disappointed.
No welding jacket...
If the road is plowed my drive is. Or leave it in mailbox

I have that hand crimper... it’s a POS lol
Sorry to hear. Did you try turning it off and on?
Have you been drinking!?
I had a beer with my dinner, why?

@@Mossy500A I didn't know that. And I've never seen a pull cord case trimmer! Learn something new every day.
CHIRP
It's been replaced.
