Craft is pleased to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Travis’ breakthrough year with two exciting releases: 'Live at Glastonbury ’99,' plus expanded editions of 'The Man Who'-all set for a June 21st street date.
For 'The Man Who' expanded edition, Travis hand-selected 19 B-sides, which will be available on digital and CD reissues of the album. Additionally, a deluxe box set (previously offered in a limited quantity via Travis’ online store, available again now due to popular demand) offers the expanded album on two CDs and two LPs, while the 12” x 12” lift-top box will also include a 58-page commemorative photobook.

I was listening to this when it was broadcast live. The song wasn't announced before they started, and I twigged at the same time as the audience. A magic moment.

This is my favorite version of this song! Partly because the backing vocals are done by Mark & Lard. Favorite bit of this is when Fran has to fight the urge to laugh at them as he's singing.
I've listened to Travis for most of my life.... so much so that it's become the soundtrack to my life.

first of all, this is a fantastic tune all around.The first time I heard this version I didn't recognize the song until it got to the chorus. A great version done very well. I love the relaxed feel and laughter on this recording. I picked up my acoustic and learned it right away.

This was recorded in session for Mark and Lard when they took the band to Robin Hood’s Bay as a budget alternative to the Ibiza roadshow to which the rest of the DJs on Radio 1 went. Mark and Lard can be heard towards the end giving backing vocals.

I love it when my favorite bands cover an otherwise cheesy pop tune. First time I heard this, I remember how impressed I was, they made this their own. Far better than the original. They have covered so many songs as b-sides. Covering artist such as David Bowie, Queen and John Lennon.

Always have been. Coldplay was good from 2000 til 2006 and then sold out to the mainstream. After that they became more manufactured and interchangeable. At no point were they ever better than Travis.

valerie brady that’s not fran. This was recorded on the Mark and Lard show on Radio 1 back in the day. That’s Mark and Lard doing the high notes, hence the laughter. Remember listening to it at the time. Took me ages to find this version, it’s on Spotify too

As much as I don't like the original performer of the song (what was her name BTW?), I love this version, which, even though it's suposed to be a parody, seems to be quite a good song.
