"I'll give you my opinion, take it or leave it"
Right here is why you should listen to John. He's not forcing his opinion of what works on you, he just wants you to be open. Too many other bodybuilders talk like they have the secret and it only works their way.

That's huge in the very insecure bodybuilding and gym rat world where constant unwanted advice is often freely given by complete strangers without knowing someone's injuries, goals, mobility issues, etc. John Meadows and Dorian Yates often say or have said bodybuilder your body for you not my body.... find what works for you. Experiment with diet, exercises, volume and intensity. When something works or makes sense stick with it. Don't overcomplicate the process.... enjoy learning with your body.

I started using the 10 second holds and partials after I saw them on John's videos and they have started taking my workouts to the next level! I started on Cluster Dextrin on John's advice and I noticed that with even harder workouts with more weight and more sets I wasn't getting as sore, which is great for recovery, but left me feeling like I had to start taking it to the next level so I started holding the weight for ten seconds along with partials. Im around John's age but nowhere near as fit but I can tell you his dietary guidance and training videos are excellent if you want to put on mass without taking huge risks for injuries as John's guidance on propper form has really cleaned up my lifts. Great stuff on John's channel.
