  • Join me, David Housholder, on a transformative journey through the rugged beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains in California. Over four days of solo backpacking, I delve deep into the philosophy of hiking, exploring the profound connections between nature, solitude, and self-discovery. From the tranquility of alpine lakes to the challenge of steep ascents, every step of any trail offers an opportunity for reflection and introspection. Discover the profound wisdom that can be found in the simplicity of putting one foot in front of the other, and embark on a journey of personal growth and exploration unlike any other. ‪@WorldWideWell‬ ‪@TheHikingRev‬ ‪@Hikingguy‬ ‪@beeswildlife‬ ‪@TheWanderingWulfs‬

@@TinCanTwosome He sure did! Loved this video! Great job on the hike, Dave. Beautiful backpacking trip! Loved all the narration. It's so true that we can think way better when we're out in peaceful nature. We need to make more time to do it. And it's so true, too, that we can walk long distances if we can just get our bodies used to it. And after hiking a few days, we start to feel good and strong. It's an awesome feeling! Have a great week! 🥰

Fantastic, David! I finally took the time to have a full watch. Last weekend I joined a group and we summited Mt. Baldy via the ski hut and down along the backbone. A perfect day. I think I told you I had my ankle rebuilt at the end of the year, so that was my first strong trek on it. We got up and back in just over 6 hrs. I wanted to turn back 10 times as that route takes you straight up, but I was happy to get it done. The ankle and legs felt great. Next spring I'll be doing the EBC trek with my daughter. Will see what I or we get done between now and then! Thanks for sharing this. (and yes, your pack even after your trek up to Trail Camp on Whitney looked like it weighed more on the way down. That was quite a slog!)

Great to hear you are still at it. EBC is going to be epic, and you will enjoy it immensely.
