Thank you.. I will be try this because I'm planning to braid my hair for the first time 😅 I'm nervous.. I do remember my head feeling itchy in the past when I got braids done
I'm getting my hair braided tomorrow so I went and bought 2 packs of braids rush home to watch your video. Your video was so simple and easy to watch. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not wasting my time with a long drawn out video 🙏🏿💞.
@@user-ms3gi1wq4n it should dry within a day. Last time I hung it up in the car and rolled the windows down as I drove because I needed it dry faster lol smh
You did your thang on this tutorial. Quick, sweet, and right to the point. I didn’t realize it was alkaline that was causing the braid hair to itch. Great info! ✨💜✨
I've been doing ACV washes on my synthetic hair for years. I always sit the hair in water and conditioner after ACV rinses. ACV rinses tends to make the hair rough and by sitting the hair in conditioner and water, it add softness back into the hair. I also wash and rinse the hair in warm to hot water. I feel like cold water will not melt off the excess alkaline that is still on the hair after removing it from the wash.
Love it!! Simple and straight up. Unlike 90% of videos in RUclips where they talk and talk about stuff we don't care😅😅 Cheers from a sista in Panama💚💜💙
Wow I haven’t getting braids my entire life and have never washed the hair prior. I had no idea that alkaline was in the hair. You learn something new everyday
I normally don’t wash my braiding hair before but it’s helpful I’ve heard. Over the years, I gotten allergic to synthetic hair so doing this has helped with the itching.
I’m so happy I found this because I got my hair braided and within a week I was taking it down because it itches so much. my sister said well why don’t you wash the hair I didn’t know people used ACV to clean the hair
Thanks! I saw they have plant based safe braiding hair but it’s like $50 per pack or bundle. I cannot pay that price in addition to the braids. So this will work!

I love how useful apple cider vinegar is. I have seen it used in so many ways. I have clip on hair extensions but I never washed them. I even forgot where they are now, lol.
I’m definitely going to do this today since I get my hair braided tomorrow. I’m going to add a lil shampoo once it’s rinsed tho lol. I’ve never washed the weave before & I always end up with so many bumps on my head & my head stay itching 😐 thank you so much 💯
I’m so excited to try this! I’ve been getting red bumps and I thought it was tension but I tried to be super careful and still got them. I think you just saved me! 🤗
People thought I was crazy when I said I wash my synthetic hair. I was my synthetic wigs in laundry detergant because it helps snap the wig back. I guess it has something to do with the fibers in the wig. But when you wash it , you will notice less itching on your scalp for sure.
You definitely aren’t crazy! I’ve never heard of or thought to do with detergent! That’s heavy duty. I’ve done with shampoo before but I bought some wigs from Amazon- I’ll have to try out the detergent

It doesn’t smell that bad. Just make sure to rinse it off real good. Or you can use a shampoo to get rid of the smell if it bothers you. I’m not really sure about the different types of hair. I just bought a regular pack of braiding hair. I’ve actually never seen any that is labeled as itch free lol

does it smell afterwards? also would you recommend this for itch-free synthetic braiding hair?

I’m not sure. I’ve only ever tried on this type of hair

Did you wash it with hot water and acv? Will the hot water make the hair straight like when you dip the ends after it’s braided?
I do hot, and i think it does make it kinda straight. Someone commented to do warm water instead! In my mind hot water = clean, so I do it like that lol
What temp water do you use for it to soak in?
I use really hot water, but i think someone commented to be careful how hot it is because it could melt the hair or something like that. I've never had any issues with using hot water
Can you use this technique on hair that's already bradied like the Boho braids?
I personally haven’t tried it. If you do, definitely don’t use hot water- it straightens the hair. Maybe try on one piece before doing a whole pack
I started to buy the pre-washed hair. I never thought to wash it myself.
I didn’t even know that they sold it pre washed!

Hi! Cold or warm water??
Warm water
Have you tried this on prestretched hair?
Make sure we get the apply cider vinegar with the what in it?
The mother, it’s the murky stuff at the bottom of the container
Do you have to let it dry completely?
This can be with any type of synthetic hair right??
Not quite sure. I only do it on straight hair- never done it on spring or passion twist hair.
I had NO idea that they put alkaline coating on hair. That is such a strange thing to do! I'm sure it would cause lots of people to have reactions.
yep, to preserve the hair from going moldy - didnt even know it could get moldy
Can great value apple cider vinegar work??
As long as it has the mother in it! That's what I was taught to look for when choosing which one
