*There’s a strange thing about vinyl.* *The song goes ”Put the needle on the record when the drumbeats go like this.” But in order to even hear ”Put the needle on the record when the drumbeats go like this” you need to have already putten the needle on record.*
did not understand the bit about the dots and why does the upper % has extra number 6, but not below...only has - 3,3 % ``´wtf ?? so lets say i have plate that has a track at 100bpms....if i slow it down - 3 , it will be 107 bpm ? will it be the same for both 33rpm and 45 rpm ?
Probably too much torque on your motor !!! Technics back then developed a Direct Drive with what's known as Quartz , this was a magnetic coil motor that allowed the deck to spin both ways easy without breaking the direct drive motor ,. pioneer all the others do not use this , that's why mixing records ain't the best , they use a laser direct drive hanpin motor system
You can't beat the old Qualtz Direct Drive & analog pitch SL1210 MK2 or MK5 even the M3D Japan for mixing vinyl records , every deck has failed to match it even today including the new SL1210 Mk7 failed !!!
HELPPP🙃 first of all thanks ellaskins for the videos I'm new to mixing I'm 37 and just bought deck's✌ I have a problem. I have x2 same songs and tried to beat match. I turned quartz off, both were in center position. But when played at same time one deck played faster. So I used a screwdriver and adjusted the pitch adjustment screw. They are very close bpm in centre position. Takes a minute or 2 before it goes out of beat. Do I need to adjust screw back? Have I messed up the pitch control🙈 and more importantly DO 2 DECKS PLAY AT EXACT SAME SPEEDS IN CENTER POSITION WITH QUARTZ OFF? OR ARE ALL DECKS SLIGHTLY OUT. Anyone with any advice. I'm loving learning wish I started in 20 years ago🙈
@@ellaskins the main man himself 👍your videos are amazing. You explain things well and helped me loads. As for my decks they are Sony dj9000 direct drive (cheap) Was going to get 1210s but didn't know if I would get on with it. But I'm having a blast. With quartz on they match and stay in beat👍. But if both pitch are in the middle. Then I turn off quartz then the one deck would be too fast. After many hours and fine adjustments I have it so they stay together now for ages at 0% pitch with quartz off. My main rookie mistake was I was messing with the weight on arm . One was at 1.5 other was 3.5 🙈the 3.5 was slower. I set them both to 2 and they are running great. I'm thinking the extra 2g weight was causing more drag. I'm actually going to spend a couple of hours on them now see how it goes. Keep up the videos your sound. I tried watching other people but they are like robots and I switch off😂 LEGEND 🔈🔉🔊
Love to see you making videos again. Many years ago, I got into DJing and you had a huge part in that process as DJ Tutor 😁

Great video , and yes the Technics are great , but I would highly recommend Stanton STR8-150
mixed on them & scratched , very good decks !!!
I have had a set of them since 2008 👍👍
TW86 great aren’t they? And they weigh a ton
@@Shadowmosesarea51 yeah my babies are awesome, and yea man they have the weight which is good because when scratching the decks feel solid. 👍
i have a pair as well. i love them. i have yet to try technics since i started with mixing vinyl with the stantons

True audiophiles use Cork slipmats to enhance the sound of their records...
What does mean if you find it hard to rewind the vinyl? Like the resistance is too much? I have motorized player. Numark ntx1000

A lot of the times the slipmats could be damp and giving you resistance
maredevil1 slip mat is a soft cloth one .. some vinyls are easier to rewind more than others 🤔
@@12tribes61 don't know then, maybe it's the 45s you're playing, i find them a bit harder to rewind
maredevil1 right yeah think it’s the vinyls 👍 damn vinyl ! Hence why spend more time on cdjs

Not liking your mic.... Is it a stereo mic/recorder? sounds tin-ny
