I would graph the downstream o2 sensor before and after. If it works, it would reduce the peak to peak voltage swing. Recently I had given up on a P0430 on a 2010 ford Escape 3.0L V6, band 2. It was present all the time and comes back after a code clear. Then 3 things happened: 1) bottle Techron in full tank, 1 bot in 1/4 tank; 2) tried to remove downstream O2 sensor to put spacer on (my bad) but with about 24" of pipe on the wrench, it didn't budge, so I gave up; and 3) left my Panlong OBD2 scanner dongle in the port while doing this. I removed the dongle, drove it around for about 2 hours doing various shopping and the CEL WENT OUT! THREE THEORIES: 1) Techron clean up something 2) The Big BUll Pull on the O2 sensor definitely flexed some metal (cat and sensor) and perhaps some thin crusty deposits were loosened (and maybe help the Techron to work) 3) Leaving the dongle in may have had some effect on things. Who can say? All I know is I need to get it emissioned while the CEL is out (!)
It can hurt your vehicle if you can’t pass smog. I a straight is awesome but illegal in many places with smog. I hope you are lucky enough to live in an area with smog to enjoy such parts. I live in a part of Texas with no smog and it’s awesome.
Good question, the Techron is fuel system cleaner and it only interacts acts with engine oil in the combustion chamber. Normally fuel and oil will never make contact with each as the oil can absorb the fuel and lose its protective properties. So there is no real advantage or disadvantage in putting in after an oil change.

My advice would be use a o2 sensor fouler/extender that will defo fix the p0420 code
Tried it today with my 2017 Hyundai accent worked like a charm when your tank is low fill it with the bottle then get gas and drive atleast 150 miles

Did you add the techron to a nearly empty tank, then drive to the station to refuel, or add to an empty tank at the station just before refill?
Full tank, good product but not for catalysts not ready I would look at other products

Ah I see, yea man that p0420 is a pain and the only way to get rid of it is using a o2 sensor fouler/extender
