If you want real fantasy/adventure you should listen to Elvenjig/Elvenpath from Nightwish. You will meet many familiar fantasy characters in this song. Both live at Bogota and Buenos Aires are good!
@@SaeedReacts. I think Buenos Aires 2018 is of better quality than Bogota, where Floor was sick, a bit sick at Buenos Aires still- they never released the whole Bogota concert. Elvenpath is the first track of Nightwish' debut album, and Elvenjig is a later traditional instrumental addition as a prelude to Elvenpath, giving Troy a chance to play magic with his weird instruments.
Even without lyrics, this music gives me vibes of ancient forests, nature, mist and storms, wolves and deer (or maybe reindeer in Finland?), well, the kind of landscape when reading great fantasy novels. May I mention the forest of Lothlorièn?
There are actually lyrics for this song, but only in finnish language. It is called ”Erämaan Viimeinen” which pretty much translates as ”The last one of the wilds”. Singer of this song on the album is Jonsu, who was a guest singer from the finnish girl band called Indica, which Tuomas was helping by producing their album. Indica was also performing as a front band on their NW nordic leg of the tour in 2007.
This was such a great instrumental mid-concert break to let Floor change outfits. Funny fact, she had a bit of a problem with one zipper on her new costume and had to race onto the stage at the last second, snatched at the microphone and missed, but then caught it just in time to start singing Bless the Child. Another great song from this epic performance.
Tampere here! Maybe you are slowly drifting towards Tuomas solo stuff. My favorite is his "soundtrack" for Don Rosa comic book The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Yes, it's" just" a comic, but lots of life lessons and topics to think about love, money, adventures and what actually is important in life 😊
Enjoyed your reaction! Song is a tribute to Finland's forests and lakes IMO. As others have mentioned there is a beautiful version of the song with lyrics in Finnish, Erämaan Viimeinen. One of the few Nightwish songs with the lyrics in Finnish. Tuomas has said that Finnish is a very practical language and it is hard to write lyrics in Finnish that are musical and poetic so he mostly writes in English. I think the Erämaan Viimeinen vocals are very beautiful, especially the way Jonsu sings them and I wish Nightwish did more songs in Finnish. A great example is Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan. ruclips.net/video/VSMCD39EIMc/видео.htmlsi=0aLXtZ7Qf_RsWJP3. Beautiful ballad sung by Tarja at the End of an Era concert. Title translates as Death Makes an Artist. During the quieter section where you hear Troy playing his tin whistle you can hear a twinkling almost harpsichord like sound in the background. That is the Finnish national folk instrument the Kantele.
🤩👍💥💯🎼 Was it then Emppu who´s that "10th Man Down"?! 😜 Emppu has skills enough to do `Ukemi` (japanese term for controlled falling down in martial arts) in front - , back - or sideways, since he is Junior´s Nordic Champion in Judo from back in the days... 🤘😎💙🎶

Lovely reaction.. This has no lyrics, but it is also lovely to just experience good music. The story told, just by the music, without words... Troy is playing the Uilllean Pipes. In Dutch you can pronounce it as "Jilliën" pipes. These are Irish bagpipes. Instead of the better knowns Scottish pipes the bag is not blown up by puffing into it, but by bellows (blaasbalg) under his right elbow. Greetings from the Netherlands.
The Uillean pipes are very hard to play and Tuomas really sets high goals for Troy. It sounds also beautiful with the guitar❤ I love this music piece so much! Emppu is the prankster of the group. In Buenos Aires he was making "evil" plans with Troy and unplugged Floor's receiver at her back. She had to laugh too, but watched her back after that😂
You chose the only live song with no lyrics. Magical. There is an alternate version with lyrics. Floor needed a few minutes for an outfit change. Uillean Pipes, the Irish version of the bag pipes. It means elbow in Gaelic.
@@SaeedReacts. The original version 'Erämaan viimeinen' was sung in Finnish by Jonsu from Indica on vocals, so usually they just go instrumental when performing it live. ruclips.net/video/rA-XIXy5vw4/видео.html (fan made video of the original album version with english subtitles)

Nothing intelligent to say when it comes to music? Don't sell yourself short, and music is all about experiences and emotions, and if what you're saying about the music comes from the heart, then it is, by definition, intelligent. This is a beautiful song, and there's actually a version with lyrics. They're in finnish however, and as a swede, I can't understand a word of it. The singer is Johanna "Jonsu" Salomaa, from the band Indica. And I'm with you regarding the tea cup type rides, last time I was in one of those, I almost threw up 🤢It's an inner ear thing, I guess 😆
@@SaeedReacts. I'm not a big fan of amusement park rides in any way, shape, or form, but tea cups are the worst 😝I even hated ferris wheels as a kid. Still, I love The Last Ride of the Day by Nightwish.

I agree!!
Troy is the "secret weapon" of Nightwish. He plays at least 18 instruments and also has a beautiful soft folk voice.
Floor - I need to change my wardrobe.
Band - No problem.
Haha! We got you! 😅
Those are Uilllean Pipes- powered by a bellows worked under the arm. No annoying Scottish drone, and you can play them while drinking. They're Irish.
You can play them while drinking is the greatest sales pitch ever 😄
wasn´t it "You can SING while playing .. " ?
ok, drinkin´ is cool too ;)
It's amazing how much better they sound than with the annoying drone from Scottish bagpipes 🇬🇧
Troy was playing the Irish Uilleann pipes and he also played the Tin Whistle in the slow part
Thanks for letting me know!
@@SaeedReacts.He also played those pipes in "The Greatest Show on Earth" intro, during the initial Dawkins speaking part.
Troy's Uilleann pipes together with Emppu's guitar is as legendary to me as Floor and Marco together harmonizing, it just sounds too great.
Sometime music speak louder than words my friend. Happy to see you again man. Love this piece of heaven. Thank you.
You are correct! Thanks for being here ❤️
They had so much fun! Next one from the Wacken 2013 show is one of my favourite Nightwish live performances.
Looking forward to continue !
