I would love to laugh but there is too much hardship out here. I used to have a great sense of humor. I lost my job due to Covid. Now I have to have urgent back surgery and I have no insurance and no income. It’s been almost a year that I was laid off. Unemployment is gone, I applied for everything I can find but nothing seems to be happening as I get further and further behind on bills. I love working and feeling needed even if it’s a small job. I have a BA degree with honors but that doesn’t matter anymore. So many of us are in free fall and see this man whom we pay $174,000/year and give him comprehensive health insurance for life! Does he deserve it? Has he and all the other members of congress earned it? We are out here and nothing is funny right now.
