Hello Phillip: We played this piece in high school my senior year and our conductor told the high school audience that this was Elsa coming to the Cathedral and it was meant a grand occasion. Although this fellow did a far superior job than our high school band. I liked his soft ending. (1970 - Pittsburgh, PA)
