16:38 the gamaka in PaPaNiPaMaPaNiPaMaGaRiGaaa' , where he stands in that Ga few seconds, bringing out the very essence of Anandhabhairavi raaga, is the display of the highest level of musical intellect one can attain. GNB is simply mindblowing.
Hv listened GNB n i am 84 n a diehard fan of this great mastero. My fav pastime is listening music. I am now in London with my son n most of my leisure i listen music 🙏
think this is the most mystical I've heard from all of Shri GNB's many recordings that are out there, which are mostly about his 'brigha' style... this is touching so many soft notes, almost like wooing his favorite 'Ambal' .. majestic.. thanks for sharing..
I salute Sri Hari Panavoor for posting this lovely Periyasami Thuran's Sanskrit song with the ragamudra in it. The violinist is new to me and he is brilliant. S V S Narayanan vidwan was a singer too. What a brilliant playing! I love this. Thanks a lot rasika poster. A bit of Tamil at the end making this a Manipravala kriti. Narayanakurup Kanthi Kumar/Post Falls/Idaho 20/11/16
What a rendition! You will not hear a better Anandha Bhairavi than this. There is no word to describe the legendary GNB and this rendition. He is the greatest Carnatic musician ever. Thank you Hari for sharing this.
Very few are those who knows the greatness of GNB who was an Honours Graduate in English and he chose musical career and is known to all who love carnatic music.
Listening for the first time and I do not know an "Akshara" in carnatic music or music at all But singing with a voice that smells like a Sandal wood, would not need anything to let flow the pure joy just through the listening
That is Lord Shivas favourite song , by singing this, irravanan confused the Lord , he had no choice getting unseated the Nandhi and walked towards iIrravanan gave full blessing and vaal and that surprised his console and she could not believe it. So what about us is a gift to listen this great song. My salute for down loading to Hari panavoor sir/ thank you shanmugam/australia
This is a classic gem that used to be aired by AIR Hyderabad on its Sangeetha Sudha program. This song is a beautiful one but somehow even GNB's disciples did not sing it as one wished they did. The violinist V Sethuramaiah and another RK Venkatrama Sastry used to give violin duet concerts.
