I hope 2021 brings back the ability to play bumper cars with the cops and wreck them. I used to enjoy 20 minute cop chases with insane road blocks everywhere.
Idk how I did this earlier, but there was a cop beside me and there was an oncoming civilian, and I just rammed the cop car really hard, we were side by side from bumper to number, and the cop when rolling. It was pretty funny and I got away from the cops so it’s a win win. I didn’t hit the civilian and I got away.
I know this is an older video, but as someone who is replaying the game with a "no getting busted" challenge I have a few pointers, first is in daytime check 2 things 1 is the jump to exit the raceway and the other is the jump to the mall's roof, if you can do either or both you are clear to go to heat 5, you don't need a car that can go 180+ mph to escape because driving on the road is just more dangerous. The starter Mustang at rating 200ish is able to do the raceway's exit jump and thus I was already going to Heat 5 and leveling up extremely quickly.
Man, thank you so much for this guide. I'm still a beginner at the game (Rep 6 thanks to you). But this guide allowed me to stop finishing all my nights rounds getting caught. Going to the racetrack at level 2 is the way to go, that's insane! This guide and the other one on the common mistakes done by beginners, honestly, without your guides, I would have already un-installed the game. You might have even reunited me with the genre as I always thought I sucked at racing games. Thank you again for your work. It's amazing. 🙏
I just spent an 30-45 mins doing the racetrack jump rep grind and suddenly at almost level 4 heat cops just spawned behind me on the track. After the long drawn out chase they finally totaled my car, I went from Rep level 24 going onto 25 with $78,000 back to Rep level 19 and $23,000 roughly. I feel your frustration.

Recently Downloaded the game on free ps+ monthly, your channel is the best 👌. Lvl 3 cops had me looking for trucks on the highway carrying wood logs on them.. found out quick that they don't exist in this game 😂
No wonder I felt the cops were too relentless and impossible to lose. I jumped straight from MW05 and Carbon to Heat and the removal of pursuit breakers (I mean, as far as I know they're not on Heat) and the fact I can't just go gorilla mode and start ramming cops because then my car'll get wrecked. I still don't like damage mechanics in NFS, but the game is pretty good so far, at least for me. I can't get the hang of grip turning and drifting but we'll get there. Good vid man.
One thing I've always done, when I have the chance, and the health with no other option. I had a fairly slow car and whenever I got to heat 3 and 4 I couldn't escape, it was usually near the coastlines or heck even rivers. Drive straight into the water, it will send you back but cops drive straight into it and get wrecked, now for me it only works with around 1-3 cops, due to health, but it's a great last ditch effort if the other options are too far and always bailed me out of tough spots. Hope this helps someone as a fellow noobie!
when you've grown accustomed to the 2000s games, facing cops in NFSH with a low level car is a major backhand on your strategy. they REALLY wanted to make a point about the motives of this task force in this game

I’ve escaped heat level 5 with my car at 150 stats, I was driving the E30 on my brothers account, he was heat 2 and he asked me for tips on how to escape them. I did this while giving him a tutorial, the method I used was going to the abandoned mall and driving to the parking garage, I find that works best especially when cops are attempting to ram you, as they will accidentally drive off the edge!
Just started playing this. Super fun and tough. Hard mode is the way to go. I’m still early game and my Nissan 180 is at 230 power. My max speed is only 150-160 with Nos. I’m still scared of heat 3 or even Heat 2 being chased by 5 cops.
i bought yesterday for 3.50 on steam sale, kept grinding night events for rank and used my free deluxe cars. got corvette on lvl 18 and started inveszting in power parts. fastest way to level up is to do like 2 night events bank at heat lvl 3. then do day for money and spend everyhting on performance. every time you upgrade rep or car level the rewards go up . so switcth day and night. but remeber to spend all money and focus on night more - rank up faster
At the container yard at Port Murphey, you can hit a jump and land on top of a container, and then just stop up there. It breaks line of site, and you just sit there and wait for all the cops to drive away. (I usually go get a drink, bathroom, etc.) There's also a safe house right next to it.
You don’t understand how much fear I’ve got to drive at night on NFS. I had no idea I could use the jumps against them. Everytime i get caught 100k+ gets lost and my credibility. You’ve saved me from breaking my monitor. Thanks bro and I subbed
After getting rep level 50, all Ultimate parts, and 100% on the activities and collectables I decided to use an exploit for money and I saw this too. I thought I was wrong
These cops are honestly, the second most brutal shit I've seen in gaming. The number one spot I have to give to the maniacs in Rockport from NFS Most Wanted. But the fact that on level 2 heat, cops give zero shits about acceleration. I don't know what sort of Rockefeller budget these mfs are on, to have fucking warp charge in their cars, but it's maniacal. How good do you have to be at solving crime to reach a point where you can allocate that much resources to chase dusty ass street racers at night. And they don't let up. The map ain't worth shit, both in races and outside as it doesn't portray the sharpness of the curved accordingly at times. I'm going 280 in an Aston Martin, there should be no conceivable way these donut guzzling power abusers should be capable of even comprehending my existence, let alone breeze up to me at 280 and somehow pull more speed to ram me from behind.
I've beaten this game so many times it's a good one and honestly your guides are fairly good wish i knew that when i started playing at first but now i can start unlocking ultimate and ultimate+ parts thanks g

I also tried to show him the mall because that’s one of the best spots, but the low level cars are incapable of getting onto the second building from the ramp. Is that the case for everyone or just his situation?

The way I lose cops with any car is go to the palm city race way track you know the one shaped like a bowl use the ramp to fly in the air at a high enough speed you will get past the cops and there is a garage nearby so your good

Another tips is the water, if u jump inside the water, you teleport outside with no cops and in escape mode, remain in the place of teleport for 30 second and you escape
I was once at a friends house playing NFS Heat on his Xbox, mind you *his* I have completed the game and have about like 186 hours total on heat, I was doing some rep farm at night with his starter BMW trying to help with rep grinding for story and got into a heat chase at level 2 and accidentally went into heat 3 (I knew I was dead tried to get away) , got into heat 4 and we were both panicking, and then we got to heat 5 somehow without dieing, and then we both just decided to shut the Xbox off cause technically we didn’t die
My strategy: do daily night quests before events. complete first event that get you heat level 1 or 2. second event choose so that in ends near the JUmp at 4:21. Get heal level 3 during or after second event and use the jump and go to safehouse. 1 time i completed circuit near the Jump location at heat 3 and it got me to heat 4. it was very risky. do only 2 events per night and make sure u finish second event near the Jump zone and dont go over heat 3 during event. After event u can do circles to gather cops then drive in water to kill them and increas eheat to 4 or 5. then immediately go to Jump and safehouse behind it.

I successfully evaded and turned my car off behind a building like old school need for speed. The cops literally forced their way behind the building even while not being in a active chase. Couldn’t believe my eyes
I literally am never chased by cops when I have the ability to escape. I will be accosted by 4-5 cops at heat 2-3 at any time that I have literally nowhere to go. They push me off road and I can never find jumps when I’m being chased. I haven’t ever escaped heat 3+ in this damned game. I’ve never had such a hard time with cops in any other nfs game. I’ve tried following your advice, the only piece of advice that worked for me was the race track. Btw I am in an RSR at this point, at 360.
I accidentally escaped a heat level 3 while I was still only about an hour into a new playthrough because I swerved next to a pool of water, they knocked me off but also ALL drove in with me. Instantly took out 4 cops and I escaped when the car respawned. I was about 1/8 of a bar away from heat 4 so I assumed i could just do it again and rake in the XP. I lost the XP.
I miraclously escaped heat level 4 in my starter stock KS edition Lancer car. Ever since then I am trying my luck with level 3 but lost alot of time and XP...
Heat 5 cops are so persistent and I almost never escape even if I transform the car to a freaking rabbit and jump like a mofo. And at Heat 5 the cops instaspawn right on top of you… and it doesn’t matter how fast your car is, they’re always faster. ALWAYS! Way to go game.
I had the same car as you trigger and when i was on heat 3 i was scarred, they started trying to shut down my engine, damge my car as much as they could. But i didn't let them get the best of me, i drove straight into a lane so fast. They all crashed, and i went straight back to the garage. It was close.😅
I tried to make reason of Heats cop sytem but as someone who played MostWanted for years it felt unfair in starter cars. You cant get rid of cops by ramming them or use other methods. I wanted to play a modern NfS so I landed on Heat, and since the game needs extensive modding to fix everything I just got an Infinite- Damage- mod from Nexus and have way more fun. You can still get busted if boxed in but it feels much more like MostWanted. Sadly there are no Pursuit- Breakers anywhere even tho Heats world has so much opportunities for them.
i lost 90k due to being busted with a 140 lvl starter car because i just couldn’t shake them at all no matter what i did, reached level 4 due to that, ran out of repairs and got nuked. Cops are broken as fuck at the start of the game, avoid them at all costs, rep up by purely racing till you can build a fast enough car. That’s the best advice
You actually can outrun heat 3 cop consistently with a car that can go 150-180. So basically, you just take em to the race track and do a few circles and then use the ramp on the side to get out of there. Usually, you will escape with that but sometimes thats not enough and you have to do it all over again
Cops are unrealistic fast in this game. I'm in a 700 HP GTR and somehow in a Dodge Charger RT or Crown Vic, they can just pull on me at 130. If I blast on a straightaway long enough, I lose all but the corvettes they send. I was at heat level 4, pushing 195. The Vette was still with me
I was trying to escape from that dumb helicopter in a heat 5 chase with one million rep, which would’ve been enough to max my rep level. Once I escaped the cops I immediately planned a route to a safe house. I was about 100meters away from the garage and the server crashed. I was really pissed off

Definitely! I think it's probably best to ride during the day a bit to familiarize yourself with the map. Memorize some part of it.

I use that ramp near the gas station, which helps in jumping right next to a house and yet has helped me 99% of the times of losing heat level 4 cops.

I often use the pier ramp or the long pier... They all crash in the end and I can calmly drive away from heat 5

I was once at a friends house playing NFS Heat on his Xbox, mind you *his* I have completed the game and have about like 186 hours total on heat, I was doing some rep farm at night with his starter BMW trying to help with rep grinding for story and got into a heat chase at level 2 and accidentally went into heat 3 (I knew I was dead tried to get away) , got into heat 4 and we were both panicking, and then we got to heat 5 somehow without dieing, and then we both just decided to shut the Xbox off cause technically we didn’t die
Im using a stock delux evo and was in a level 3 chase... painfull but escaped behind the home building... thank god
My strategy: do daily night quests before events. complete first event that get you heat level 1 or 2. second event choose so that in ends near the JUmp at 4:21. Get heal level 3 during or after second event and use the jump and go to safehouse. 1 time i completed circuit near the Jump location at heat 3 and it got me to heat 4. it was very risky. do only 2 events per night and make sure u finish second event near the Jump zone and dont go over heat 3 during event. After event u can do circles to gather cops then drive in water to kill them and increas eheat to 4 or 5. then immediately go to Jump and safehouse behind it.

You can try an Off road build and go in the mountains. Corvettes or any cop cars are not made for off roads.
I successfully evaded and turned my car off behind a building like old school need for speed. The cops literally forced their way behind the building even while not being in a active chase. Couldn’t believe my eyes
I literally am never chased by cops when I have the ability to escape. I will be accosted by 4-5 cops at heat 2-3 at any time that I have literally nowhere to go. They push me off road and I can never find jumps when I’m being chased. I haven’t ever escaped heat 3+ in this damned game. I’ve never had such a hard time with cops in any other nfs game. I’ve tried following your advice, the only piece of advice that worked for me was the race track. Btw I am in an RSR at this point, at 360.

Imagine you’re a cop and seeing a guy you’re pursuing doing a ramp jump and you think, f*ck that guy I’m not getting paid enough for this, I’m out.
You can also drive fast straight into water and the cops can’t stop in time so they die while you respawn and they are gone
My favorite thing when cops chasing me is push cop car into normal car or in a wall, it is usefull but in higher heat level are more chasing cop cars

I would talk so much Smack about the 2015 cops, and ate my words when I got busted in heat, it's so unfair, they can tap you and lose damage

I accidentally escaped a heat level 3 while I was still only about an hour into a new playthrough because I swerved next to a pool of water, they knocked me off but also ALL drove in with me. Instantly took out 4 cops and I escaped when the car respawned.
I was about 1/8 of a bar away from heat 4 so I assumed i could just do it again and rake in the XP.
I lost the XP.

I miraclously escaped heat level 4 in my starter stock KS edition Lancer car. Ever since then I am trying my luck with level 3 but lost alot of time and XP...

Heat 5 cops are so persistent and I almost never escape even if I transform the car to a freaking rabbit and jump like a mofo. And at Heat 5 the cops instaspawn right on top of you… and it doesn’t matter how fast your car is, they’re always faster. ALWAYS! Way to go game.
I had the same car as you trigger and when i was on heat 3 i was scarred, they started trying to shut down my engine, damge my car as much as they could. But i didn't let them get the best of me, i drove straight into a lane so fast. They all crashed, and i went straight back to the garage. It was close.😅

I tried to make reason of Heats cop sytem but as someone who played MostWanted for years it felt unfair in starter cars. You cant get rid of cops by ramming them or use other methods. I wanted to play a modern NfS so I landed on Heat, and since the game needs extensive modding to fix everything I just got an Infinite- Damage- mod from Nexus and have way more fun. You can still get busted if boxed in but it feels much more like MostWanted. Sadly there are no Pursuit- Breakers anywhere even tho Heats world has so much opportunities for them.
i lost 90k due to being busted with a 140 lvl starter car because i just couldn’t shake them at all no matter what i did, reached level 4 due to that, ran out of repairs and got nuked. Cops are broken as fuck at the start of the game, avoid them at all costs, rep up by purely racing till you can build a fast enough car. That’s the best advice
You actually can outrun heat 3 cop consistently with a car that can go 150-180. So basically, you just take em to the race track and do a few circles and then use the ramp on the side to get out of there. Usually, you will escape with that but sometimes thats not enough and you have to do it all over again
And they can sometimes jump the ramp with you so keep that in mind

It's just extremely annoying when my 185 s chassis literally can't go fast enough to lose cops at heat 3, and then the corvettes come in so i give up.

Cops are unrealistic fast in this game. I'm in a 700 HP GTR and somehow in a Dodge Charger RT or Crown Vic, they can just pull on me at 130.
If I blast on a straightaway long enough, I lose all but the corvettes they send. I was at heat level 4, pushing 195. The Vette was still with me

I was trying to escape from that dumb helicopter in a heat 5 chase with one million rep, which would’ve been enough to max my rep level. Once I escaped the cops I immediately planned a route to a safe house. I was about 100meters away from the garage and the server crashed. I was really pissed off
