Now if only you would do a video for Portcreek Junction that I could use to figure out just what I'm doing wrong when I get a message saying "block release not obtained 9".

You must be getting a line clear from the wrong box. To pull 2 you need a line clear from Cosham Junction (middle instrument) to pull 5 you need line clear from Farlington Junction - right hand instrument. 12 need line clear from Green Lanes Crossing (left hand instrument)

Could you repost this video with a higher resolution, or at least an explanation what you are doing?

You can increase the resolution - click th setting icon (gearwheel). You can download it to copy the action here:- blockpostsoftware.co.uk/downloads.php

@@blockpostsoftware I can copy what is being done, but I still don't understand what is happening with the brown levers. At 0:15, after Ford has offered a train, and I tell them the line is clear, 1 and 2 are pulled forward, closing and locking the gates? Then at 1:29, Barnham accepts the train I've accepted from Ford. After that the levers are pushed back, opening the gate? No, that can't be. I must understand this wrong?

@@pingpongpung It is the other way round - when you pull the brown levers, you open the gates to the road, when you put them back, you open to the railway. You can give a Line Clear even when the gates are closed to the railway. But you cannot clear your signals until you have opened them to the railway. I know that seems wrong, but that is how it was done at Yapton, and also at Ford - you can download that simulation to try it also. It is only the signals which protect the level crossing so it is a safe thing to do and it allows the cars to keep moving on this busy road - which still gives trouble 54 years after the signalbox closed:- ruclips.net/video/Arj5uyNMx04/видео.html
