Funny shit, Dungeon Siege 2 triple dark wizard fight was how I learned about Touhou because there was some raging on a forum about it being unfair danmaku.
I wonder if there are any Touhou-themed Diablo clones, or at least some kind of isometric RPG. There are so many odd fan games around that at least _one_ ought to fit the bill
My ears are burning
The first time I needed almost. A hour and only my half giant was still alive but could barely hit them because of the darkness curse.
At the second encounter in the higher difficulty, I brought a dragon which made my party immune to curses and tought the half giant healing spells.
It was much more easy that way.
First Dungeon Siege i like better,i dont like DS 2 .

Dungeon Siege 2 is a paradoxical game. It has one of the RAWEST opening sequences, where you participate in magical D-Day against the Dryads on the side of bad guys. Feels like dev team tried to make their version of BG3 18 years earlier.

Man, I did not expect a Dungeon Siege II review. One of the games from my youth that I fondly remember.
I love Sseth's videos, ever since i fell down the hole inside my synagogue that my habbi made, my only source of enteirtainment inside these dark and musky walls have been his reviews, which really helps me keep going. What's sad is that the excellence that is Warlords Battlecry is probably less well known these days than something like Tales of Androgyny.
Can confirm, I know Tales of Androgyny and never heard of Warlords Battlecry.
And the publisher/dev that has it refuses to make new one because they already have a game that has gotten them the moneyz (Gems of War for those who want to know). Witch is a shame.

Dungeon Siege 2 Multiplayer was literally my first instance of multiplayer in any game. It was hilarious. I got joined by someone, they dropped me some insanely powerful gear and left, without saying anything. I still remember it very fondly.

My favorite was a plague lord priest.
He got drain mana with each hit.
This together with life magic to make him immune to assassinations and heal any disease and the ability to summon demons as fighters and workers made him very versitile and hard to kill.
definately my favourite game series, and i am fully aware that that game is a buggy, unbalanced pile of crap - especially the third part, but i have a thing for those kinds of games (e.g. arcanum, TOEE)
normal and dark dwarves were the most fun, as i was a dumdum so slow moving armies were good for me.

DS2 was my fucking jam as a kid. I was a Diablo 2 fanatic and was looking for something else to scratch the itch, and DS2 was it. There is a shit ton of build diversity and gear sets for really wacky builds. Have you ever wanted to strap a brick of c4 to your 800 lb. pet spider on 2/26/93? You can do that. Ever want to show off your William Tell impression, only instead of an apple it is an entire tribe of Dryads, and instead of using a bow, it is a Barrett M82? You can do that.
Great game, and it has a fully fleshed out secrets system akin to Wolfenstein.

It's one of those kinds of games.

Seth didn't even mention it but there is a mod that lets you play the DS1 campaign through the DS2 campaign. There is even this vampire mod that allows for additional classes but also turns on level scaling. The game is unreal difficult but if you pull and aggro carefully and use a healer it can be really rewarding. Nature mage with resurrect and heal obviously required.

I said this on another thread but I played this game and so did my dad and no matter the difficulty, after beating the trilisk boss both of us felt the game got way easier, and after looking at sseth's video I reinstalled DS2 cus I still got the CD with me and played it and it still felt the same. I do not understand why other's felt it's hard, Dungeon siege 1 legends of aranna felt leagues harder
And also DS1 with expansion is still better than ds2 with expansion.

Seth, I have to be honest, I'm a man that embrace the life of the nomads, moving from place to place without engaging in strong ties of friendship with the peoples around, cause it only means a greater sadness saying goodbye to those friends.
I learned different languages for keeping up with this everlasting madness of changing places, working positions and colleges. English it wasn't my mother-tongue, although I wield it with confidence by this point. Omg I remember playing this. It was so long ago I struggled to remember it until you mentioned potions and all the repressed memories of screens full of cheap potions came flooding back.
Extremely late comment that nobody will read, but there's a great way to completely break the balancing in Dungeon Siege 2.
The game revolves around having a party of characters with specific roles, however experience is shared between all the characters in the party. Meaning if you actually just play with only one character in the party, you'll have a much, much easier time with most of the harder fights in the game because you'll be significantly overleveled for them. To make matters worse, the game also had the ability to have pets as party members, which you could feed items to and grow and improve their stats according to what you fed them. Because feeding replaced the normal leveling system for characters, they did not use XP and thus did not take a cut of the total party XP. The end result is your own character is beefed to hell and back, and you have an overabundance of high powered gear you can just shove down your donkey's gullet and create the most unstoppable duo the world has ever seen. I was so high level as a melee character reaching Valdis for the first time that my Brutal Attack was doing about a quarter of his health per hit and recharged almost instantaneously, and my donkey had a health pool with a few more digits in it than was probably necessary. It was incredibly stupid.

Man the Dungeon Siege 2 review unlocked childhood memories I never thought I had. I explicitly remember playing the prison section of the game as it was part of a demo shown in store, but I realize I've been mistaking it as Neverwinter Nights 2 or some shit all this time. Don't let this distract you from the fact that 56 years ago Israeli planes openly attacked the USS Liberty during Israel's war with Egypt. The attack led to the death of 34 American sailors. When the fleet commander heard of the attack he scrambled fighters. However, immediately afterwards he was told by the White House to stand down and leave the Liberty to its fate. The captain of the Liberty, frustrated by his inability to protect his crew, cleverly began broadcasting on open channels that US fighters were coming. The moment he did this the Israeli aircraft ceased their attack and apologised saying that they had mistaken a ship flying a US flag and with USS Liberty written on it for an Egyptian ship. There are two possible explanations for why this event took place. Both could be equally valid. The first is that Israel was committing a war crime in the mass execution of POW's and thought that the Liberty (a surveillance ship) could have witnessed it. The second is that the attack on the Liberty was a calculated move that the Israelis planned to later blame on the Egyptians in order to bring the US into a war that Israel had instigated. We will likely never know whether either or both of these explanations are true as Washington consistently blocks all attempts at investigation.
