I was about to comment about the absurdity of this episode for trying to convey the fact that it's easier to get mad at your friend/sibling instead of boss, but then I remembered that this actually happened at my last job:my boss was so manipulative that managed to even turn two best friends into enemies, with one of them even quitting the job
Now that someone pointed out Rainbow should’ve been the element of honesty ( she can be more brutally honest than AJ ) and Applejack being loyalty ( cause of how loyal she is with her family, her culture, her rules, her granny, her friends ), it kinda makes me remember how many times AJ has lied in this show. So Flim and Flam saying she never lies seems,, wrong.
I look at it like the crests from the first season of Digimon. It's not a defining trait per se, rather the trait you feel the strongest and others feel from you. (Rarity can be very selfish, so her Generosity is exemplified even more, just as someone as superficial as Mimi's Sincerity is exemplified.)
The stuff with Gladmane towards the end isn't him being dumb, it's being him so confident that he can't resist gloating and thus he doesn't see Fluttershy pushing the intercom or hear the speakers carrying his confession. There is still the sin for the animals being the ones to tell Fluttershy what Gladmane was up to. Flim and Flam could've easily told her while she was meeting with them separately.
@@visforvalerie The plot hinges on him being arrogant, which is technically different than him being dumb, but "he's dumb" and "his ego is so huge he thinks he can't be dumb" are still the same thing

6:28 I'd actually argue that Fluttershy was the one who wasn't necessary for this episode. If not for Applejack's history with the Flim Flam brothers, no one would have thought to investigate the fact that this conflict involved multiple teams of ponies and Fluttershy on her own can't convince Flim & Flam that they were being deceived. Honestly, I wish this episode involved Twilight and Applejack instead. The way this episode's dialogue is routed leads its conflict well to being figured out with inductive reasoning, and Twilight using her brains to solve a mystery hasn't been seen since Mmmystery on the Friendship Express. Fluttershy could have still worked though, but there'd have to be signs of the ponies being asked not to mention Gladmane feeding them information where the animals can feed Fluttershy the truth which can't be twisted like the ponies and it'd give an excuse to redo basically the solution in The Hoofields and the McColts.
5:33 - You haven't watched much of this show if you don't realize that most of the ponies in this world are in fact complete morons. The Season 2 finale showed us how deep that rabbit hole goes.
This is yet another one of my favorite episodes, mainly because it takes us to a new location in Equestria that was only mentioned in the previous seasons i especially loved all of the references the episode made to certain LV performers like Elvis,Siegfried and Roy, etc and as for Flim and Flam well i agree with Applejack about how seeing those two con-artists working against each other for a change was an improvement on their part, and Fluttershy looks totes gorgeous in that blue dress although the green wig however did not flatter her even though it was just a disguise, but that's just how i felt about it. And in conclusion, i was happy that Gladmane was exposed but Flim and Flam taking over the resort even though they're still conartists at least owning the resort is sort of a legit business.
It's too bad that this is one of the few times in the show where Flim and Flim didn't sing a catchy song those two may be cons, but damn can they sing a catchy tune!
I remember when she tried to use The Stare on Discord, implying that it COULD work on ponies. There's also that one episode when Fluttershy used The Stare on Angel when they both switched bodies, so I don't think The Stare being effective on ponies is too far-fetched.

The first one is at least worth the rewatch. Great song, makes hilariously blatant that the cider is indeed how the rest of the world knows the stuff to be i.e having alchohol in it, yes it falls apart after the song but does bring it back with AJ's lesson at the end which is amusing.
@@stryke-jn3kv I agree on their introductory episode. While they weren't good people in their introduction, Granny Smith's reaction to trying their cider showed they had a genuine talent. After that they just became complete scam artists.
Applejack's key episode is the single dumbest bit of plot logic for me. The whole conflict is whether AJ should lie or tell the truth that Flim/Flam's tonic is BS. That never should have been a conflict that needed addressing. If it was just about things they didn't like about themselves, like too short hair, or buck teeth, they could just lie to themselves that it's having some kind of effect, but the show goes out of it's way to show like 6 injured ponies as part of the crowd. These ponies who were in casts wouldn't magically get better like their inside man, so they'd attempt to do like him and get more injured, wrecking their whole scheme in it's introduction as these still injured ponies rebreak their limbs and fall to the ground screaming in pain.

the true mystery of this entire franchise is that some of the regular animals seem to be able to talk while other's don't..... I'm now starting a headcanon that the only real reason that they don't talk is because they can see how the ponies and others react to one another thinking how stupid they can be sometimes, so talking to them would only make more problems, instead makes them feed them and pretend that they're the "pets" while they secretly own them.

(I've been re-watching all of FiM and EG this year, as well I have been watching all of your Sins videos this year along with both the FiM Episodes and the EG Movies, and even your video sinning the Rainbow Rocks DJ Pon 3 short.) Do you plan on eventually doing Sins videos for Holidays Unwrapped, Rainbow Roadtrip, and the rest of the Major EG Specials? (The Dance, Movie, and Mirror Magic Episodes, Forgotten Friendship, Rollercoaster of Friendship, Spring Breakdown, Backstage Pass, and Holidays Unwrapped) I'm also curious about the Pony Shorts, as well as the Friendship is Forever Episodes where Starlight and Spike gather memories for the Book of Memories for Twilight from the other Mane 5, Celestia, Luna, and themselves (The parts that are original to those episodes, and not the clips pulled from previous episodes in them of course.)
There's a lot of potential for all the other spinoffs and such, but for now my focus is on doing the show in chronological order and any other videos I have in the works. If I get a chance to, I'd love to tackle sometime new on Cinemare Sins but not if it means taking focus off of other stuff. Thanks for the comment 😁
@@LittleshyFiM Seeing as you've been doing these videos for the series for years now as the biggest majority of your uploads, I obviously (like many other people) knew that going through the show in chronological order has been and is your focus, but I have also wondered for some time if you would be doing the Major Equestria Girls stuff (everything but the other shorts and the Season 1 and 2 digital series) along with the Season 1-9 FiM episodes. That said, thanks for answering my question so I now know not to expect the Equestria Girls stuff since the Main FiM show is your focus, but of course to also be happy if you do happen to unexpectedly touch on any of if before finishing your Sins videos for the Main Show. (That is if the world lasts long enough with the way it's going for you to have enough years to sin the remainder of the show, lol.) You're very welcome for the comment too, and (especially having finished watching through the rest of Season 6 the other day) I am very much looking forward to you sinning the rest of Season 6 throughout the rest of this year. :D (I am especially VERY much looking forward to seeing everything that you sin about the "Every Little Thing She Does" Episode on Friday.)
More evidence that the show writers and comic writers are very different people: Half of this episode's conflict is based around Flim and Flam being manipulated into hating each other. Yet, they ended up like that on their own will in a Friends Forever issue a couple years prior, and that was over romance and not their employer. If the writers were one and the same, I'd be sure that Flim and Flam wouldn't be stupid enough to believe Gladmane's lies.
Applejack: 2 friendship problems?! At this time of day, in this part of Equestria, localised entirely in this theatre? Fluttershy: Yes. Applejack: May I see it? Fluttershy: *Points at the ponies arguing like it's obvious*

How did you miss the pony named Overeasy in that peep show?
2:45 , reminds me of nurse joy
Does this episode have the most sins compared to all the others?! It's usually around 40 sins
I turned myself into a pony Morty IM PONY RICK!!!!!!
No one escapes the stare.
Beautiful
Sorry I forgot you last month. I was at the hospital for a tracheostomy replacement. I am bedridden.
Was hoping you’d point out Gladmane’s animation error.
This was...actually pretty funny!
02:44 therapists be like
Applejack: 2 friendship problems?! At this time of day, in this part of Equestria, localised entirely in this theatre?
Fluttershy: Yes.
Applejack: May I see it?
Fluttershy: *Points at the ponies arguing like it's obvious*
Are you Still Doing Cinemare Sins the First of Every Month? Cause this time it just said Coming Soon
The prairie dog trainers are obviously Siegfried and Roy, but who is the trapeze artist with the tattoo on her cheek supposed to be? (also, her bearded partner?)
It’s serious when flim and flam don’t get along.
Good video
Ah! A new outro!
