I personally had this condition when my trachea was accidentally punctured by the breathing tube used during general anesthesia during an operation room mishap a few years ago. The chances of that happening is like 1 in 10 million. At least, that's what I was told.

I had never heard of this condition either until it happened to me. I was only replying to someone else's comment that they never heard about it. I don't see how this is "trauma dumping" or whatever you called it. All I stated was that I also had this condition once... that is all.
I kept seeing memes about the buff kitten and I kept worrying that the cat died shortly after the video, but I'm so relieved that he's alive and doing incredibly well in his new home. I hope he lives a long, happy life with his wonderful family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

It's sad to think that some people would (through ignorance, no fault of their own) just think it's funny to see a 'buff' kitten/cat. If something doesn't look right, it generally isn't. Take it to a vet. It's the best thing to do. Thank you to the person who took care of this kitten.
I doubt they mean any harm, it looks bit silly seeing a cute animal looking big. As long as its cared for (by that I meant getting it treated).
Why is it sad, meaning it's wrong of them, if they are simply unaware? It's sad people have joy and excitement for the word instead of always assuming the worst of things, being suspicious, etc.? I'd say the latter is what's sad, meaning actually sad, but that's just me...

Such a cutey! This happened to my cat - got a perforated trachea during surgery and ended up spending a week in the emergency hospital til he could come home. The creepiest was the rice krispies sound (snap, crackle, pop) when you touched him. I’m so glad I had pet insurance on him!

Al final, mi familia no iba a hacerlo por que no tenía el dinero y no iba a invertir su dinero en el gato, y yo no podía hacerlo, por que no tenía ingresos. Un familiar decidió mezclar huevo con aceite y dárselo vía oral con una jeringa, por que un gato de alguien que conoció se recuperó de esa forma y propuso que yo se lo diera, lo cual hice. El gato murió a pesar de todo y fué doloroso verlo morir. Me alegra saber que hay otros gatos que tienen esperanza. Los gatos necesitan ayuda de vez en cuando, no son menos importantes por ser mascotas o animales. ❤
