I lost my father due to Covid a few years ago. This video hit me so hard. The way the kitten couldn’t accept his protector was dead, and the distress he showed after being separated from him… it’s like all the grief I have been dealing with for these past few years was exactly what this kitten was going through in the video. I like to think that in heaven my dad is taking care of this father cat because both were wonderful fathers and protectors.
The fact that they weren’t actually related at all and the dad was suffering from a painful illness but protected the baby, and after he died the baby groomed and tried to wake up the dad 😭 this relationship is better than some human ones, so I don’t want to hear anybody say cats are heartless - I’m going to immediately show them this video!

damn, this really hits close to home man.. i had a single father all my life & he got lung cancer/cirrhosis when i was 15. he had to raise me on his own and worked everyday as a brick mason (bringing oxygen tank to work) until he physically couldn't anymore & passed shortly after.. he was the greatest, most loving man i've ever known. bless that daddy cat, no more pain & at peace like my dad.. i hope the kitten finds a loving home.

I know I'm going to sound like a horrible person, but the reality is that worldwide, millions of cats will die on the streets (from any cause you can imagine) or die in cold rooms every year. The USA alone puts down/euthanises hundreds of thousands of cats and kittens every year. A lot of this could be avoided if humans carry out trap-spay/neuter programmes, rather than just letting the cats keep breeding.
The fact that the kitten was trying to protect his father when there was flees or flies.. it’s just too sad.. rest in piece father cat.. may you fly high to the stars and look down at your little baby.. in hopes to see him again some day.

After watching the entire video, I came to the realization that stray cats aren't just wild; they are also saddened, hurt by the horrific deaths of their loved ones. They also try their best to survive. I wish stray cats to lead happy lives.
Yeah, it's for this reason when I adopt a cat, it's from the Humane Society. Somewhere out there is a cat that's lived a hard life and deserves a good life. I inherited an 18-year-old cat now that is not affectionate at all (except in her own way) who would probably be put down if handed over to anyone else. She's lived a life of anxiety and hiding. Now she wants cuddles ALL THE TIME and I'm happy to give them to her. She actually discovered what laps were last year, so she's having all the laps she could ever want! Lots of "mama, sit down so I can have a lap!" So I sit and she jumps right up, curls up, and goes to sleep.

I don't understand people who think that animals don't feel anything. They feel and understand everything perfectly. Love, care, bitterness of loss, joy of life. They are familiar with all emotions and experiences, they just like people need care and kindness. It inspires me that there are people in this world who help homeless animals, who are given a second chance at a good life.
@@NuggetPudding because of they put themselves above animals. Birds, mammals both have emotions, lizards have some but are primitive. Fish feel pain and stress but not much else, insects only feel sensory stimuli. Anything plant, microbe, etc doesn't feel much more. So as you can see we all have different levels of sensitivity and emotions. Humans have the best and most advanced, but animals still feel regardless. They don't always know what they feel but they feel it. So sadness for a cat and humans is the same but we have a better understanding. But this results in the cat having to suffer from not know what to do.
God only knows what the dad went through, his last action to find a safe place to lay on and have his kitten rest. He was obviously a great dad, the little guy looked well cared for in street cat standards. Bless you, cat dad. Happiness and safety to the little cat.

Interesting how this video popped up on my feed, but I am fluent in Korean, so here’s my piece of humanity to share: 1. The dead kitty isn’t the actual parent-he adopted the kitten after seeing the real parent kitty pass from getting hit by a motorcycle. 2. Young lady w/ glasses who stumbled upon the scene said that she observed as the dead kitty when alive, fed and protected the kitten. 3. Upon examining the dead kitty’s body, the vet found multiple cancerous tumors, plus, a very bad heart disease, and remarked that dead kitty must’ve been in excruciating pain, so he’s amazed that dead kitty did all those things for kitten while in that state. 4. When the vet examined kitten, found that they’re very healthy. :) FYI-humans are 100% in no way, shape, or form above animals. Animals are incredibly sentient beings and deserve respect.
Whether you’re human or an animal, it’s a sad heartbreaking world. And then these tender moments make it seem even sadder. I wish all can just be happy together

The fact that this exists PROVES that animals have more feelings and intelligence then people think they do.
That's how i thought of animals at first, i thought they were just a mindless animals. But after my family adopt a cat, i realize they're very smart and have an emotion like us. I cant even kill a cockroaches without feeling bad right now

I know I'm going to sound like a horrible person, but the reality is that worldwide, millions of cats will die on the streets (from any cause you can imagine) or die in cold rooms every year. The USA alone puts down/euthanises hundreds of thousands of cats and kittens every year. A lot of this could be avoided if humans carry out trap-spay/neuter programmes, rather than just letting the cats keep breeding.

Yeah, it's for this reason when I adopt a cat, it's from the Humane Society. Somewhere out there is a cat that's lived a hard life and deserves a good life. I inherited an 18-year-old cat now that is not affectionate at all (except in her own way) who would probably be put down if handed over to anyone else. She's lived a life of anxiety and hiding. Now she wants cuddles ALL THE TIME and I'm happy to give them to her. She actually discovered what laps were last year, so she's having all the laps she could ever want! Lots of "mama, sit down so I can have a lap!" So I sit and she jumps right up, curls up, and goes to sleep.

I don't understand people who think that animals don't feel anything. They feel and understand everything perfectly. Love, care, bitterness of loss, joy of life. They are familiar with all emotions and experiences, they just like people need care and kindness. It inspires me that there are people in this world who help homeless animals, who are given a second chance at a good life.

@@NuggetPudding because of they put themselves above animals. Birds, mammals both have emotions, lizards have some but are primitive. Fish feel pain and stress but not much else, insects only feel sensory stimuli. Anything plant, microbe, etc doesn't feel much more. So as you can see we all have different levels of sensitivity and emotions. Humans have the best and most advanced, but animals still feel regardless. They don't always know what they feel but they feel it. So sadness for a cat and humans is the same but we have a better understanding. But this results in the cat having to suffer from not know what to do.
God only knows what the dad went through, his last action to find a safe place to lay on and have his kitten rest. He was obviously a great dad, the little guy looked well cared for in street cat standards. Bless you, cat dad. Happiness and safety to the little cat.

Interesting how this video popped up on my feed, but I am fluent in Korean, so here’s my piece of humanity to share:
1. The dead kitty isn’t the actual parent-he adopted the kitten after seeing the real parent kitty pass from getting hit by a motorcycle.
2. Young lady w/ glasses who stumbled upon the scene said that she observed as the dead kitty when alive, fed and protected the kitten.
3. Upon examining the dead kitty’s body, the vet found multiple cancerous tumors, plus, a very bad heart disease, and remarked that dead kitty must’ve been in excruciating pain, so he’s amazed that dead kitty did all those things for kitten while in that state.
4. When the vet examined kitten, found that they’re very healthy. :)
FYI-humans are 100% in no way, shape, or form above animals. Animals are incredibly sentient beings and deserve respect.
