Wow fantastico trabalho. Um excelente video feito no mar dos Acores. Pude reconhecer a Marina da Horta no Faial também a baia de Angra na minha querida Ilha terceira. Terra mais linda que os meus Acores nao há no planeta. Deu-me cá umas saudades. Hoje vivendo em Tromsö, no norte da Noruega este video encheu-me de emoções. Gostei bastante.

Too much sail out, it should have been storm rigged, the captain should have been aware of the conditions. The sail looked to be a 120%, it looked like operator error.
These are nice people and the video was fun and quietly enjoyable.

Moin Dorian, es handelt sich um ein Schiff bei dem die Gäste segeln als Entspannung erleben wollen. Damit ist für mich die Technik immer erklärbar. Sonst braucht es eine Proficrew die keiner bezahlen kann.
Alle anderen mögen gerne auf Traditionsschiffen segeln. Ich finde das Konzept Klasse, wenngleich ich selber auf eigenem Rumpf unterwegs bin.
Chronos und allen Gästen wünsche ich immer eine Handbreit Wasser unter dem Kiel und ...geniess es !
Ja ist ne tolle Sache bin 2002 mit der Mir gefahren die Cutty Sark Race gefahren so was kann man nicht vergessen.

I for one not understanding Dutch, enjoyed this video, but these things will change in my future I will buy another boat of equal class of Cronos or better. I would like to have seen a chart of the passage to and from. As I remember better places I have been, a peek into the engine room would have been nice because I know the sails are not good for parking, unless you can pull your mizzen 90 degrees to the wind at least that was how it was with my Yawl.

Why dont these videos show the interior of the boats under sail, the views from the cabins etc, its always the same ...dolphins, the sea , sunsets. One goes on a voyage to experience the whole deal...

Mir gefällt die Mischung aus Tradition und moderne. Das scheint mir sehr gut gelungen zu sein. Für Menschen die sich sonst nicht mit der Segelei auskennen garantiert ein guter Einstieg und eine erlebnisreiche Reise. Nicht immer ist Purismuss das alleinig gute! Einhand auf einer 12 Meter Segelyacht ohne diverse Hilfsmittel würde ich nicht segeln wollen. Technik zum unterstützen gerne, aber im Notfall sollte man auch noch selbst Hand anlegen können. Nur meine Meinung.

My classic fiberglass boat is 50 years old. Pristine ( almost) and loved. If I put it in a shed for 50 years more it would still be there, unbothered, when my great grand children opened the doors.
No need to chop down precious and rare jungles to restore it.
Would I swap my 50 000 yatch for the the million wooden ketch ?

Beautiful ship with a congenial crew but what an odd video. What is the Chronos? How big is she? When was she built and where? And why? for pleasure? Charter? Both? Who owns the boat? Why was she was sailing from west to east? Where did she she depart from and where did she arrive? How many sailors are needed to sail the boat well? What does she look like below decks? Etc. An odd video. Why was it made?
We DID get to see the galley! Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words, and we got to see a whole video!! / I, too, would like to know the where from, where to (Gibraltar? Looks like The Rock.). I'm going to look up Chronos online to see what I find. I did look up Horta on Google maps - amazing town and island.
wonderful boat, nice crew but bad bad cam. its a pity - such a great trip owes more cam attention.
The cam, as you call it, was EXCELLENT!! Made me feel like I was there. Even putting away the groceries! I would like to have seen some of the interior, but it certainly wasn't necessary. When I go sailing, I want to know I'm on a sailboat. That crew KNEW they were on a sailboat and not just some luxury floating hotel with a great wait staff. What a wonderful, memorable experience they had, and I thank them for sharing it!! / I went to Horta on Google maps and, from their pictures, could tell exactly where they were docked. Amazing! Horta and the island are beautiful and quite a major port o' call for the sailing crowd. I can see why!

schade ist, dass auf dem schiff so viel automatisch arbeitet... mir wäre das nix, segeln muss meiner meinung schon komplett segeln bleiben wie auf der Alexander von Humbold, Sedov, Gorch Fock und vielen anderen. weiß jemand ob die CRONOS auch eine automatische rudersteuerung hat?
Ich bin mit der Thor Heyerdahl zweimal rüber... Da ist wirklich ALLES noch analog. War super, selbst in eher brenzligen Situationen musste man ins Rigg und Segel "wie früher" reffen... Es härtet ab und gibt einem ein besseres Gefühl für Natur und Umwelt... Aber schön schaut die Chronos schon aus ;-)
