This song is a sword-making spell. Basically, "Iron, I know your origin, the bosom of Nature's earth, and your origin in fire to become my sword. I strike upon you as you will strike to kill. I strike on you, and you will never strike on your own."
Korpiklaani was my gateway from Finnish ancient folk (Kalevala runo singing) into metal music. They combine the two themes, and been a metal listener ever since, but dig folk too. This song is about forging a "killing-iron" (tapporauta). "Iske" which they repeat many times means "strike," they repeat it when the smith strikes the hot iron.

@@anjizetland-von-kiesel3346 It's really comes down to ones personal taste. My personal favorite is easily "Heart Like a Grave". I really like the melody, and the music video is filmed in Koli National Park which is a place I really like.
I have just listened to it and I am impressed. I see what you mean about the scenery too. I love wild places. I often visit friends in the Highlands of Scotland and I love the wild landscape. I will have to dig deeper into this band though.

Badass song from Korpiklaani🔥🤘🔥! 'Iske' means strike, beat, punch or hit in English. As what comes to lyrics this song seems to be all about the forging that steel. I heard lyrics like "..beat that steel you Ilmarinen..". Ilmarinen is lastname for a person and I think they are referring to blacksmith Ilmarinen in the Kalevala's stories. Well actually Kalevala is more like epic (similar to the lord or the rings).
Rauta is Iron, not Steel. Steel would be Teräs.
Though in the English version of this song they did use Steel, probably because it fits better in the song than Iron.
