Admittedly I’ll always love Miku and I agree she is well past the underdog stage (I don’t know if she is recording her parts on the studio tracks yet though I think she is more than capable) but Kanami is absolutely my guitar hero and favorite composer as well. It’s great to have all top tier musicians in a band because I don’t actually have to have a favorite.
I agree Kanami is criminally underrated by the fan base. I think many people forget just how insane of a guitarist she is I wouldn’t want to play against her.😊
You are going to have fun catching up with c. 4 music videos/singles in the last year including this one + Memorable Shambles and Bestie, with a new album out pretty soon- currently in post production?
Nice. Totally right about Kanami. Long time fans know what she brings every time. Often, like with this song, the low end is pushed so far up in the mix that the lead guitar kind of disappears until solo or transition. That's not the case when you see them live. I guess the focus on the low end is a modern thing. You should listen to various balance settings with their songs to pull other parts out. Saiki sounds brighter and more cutting if you turn up the highs and down the lows, and the lead guitar and higher notes from Akane break through. I like to listen to these songs a lot of times and focus on the different parts.
Saiki's live vocal is even more powerful (without too much compression) Did you hear that traditional instrument kinda sound after the first chorus that continues into second verse? Noone talks about it... I absolutely love Saiki's ascending vocal run in the second verse and it really sounds to me like what I often hear in Indian or Middle eastern music. I was talking about Kanami with my hubby the other day. She has the great sense of rhythm just as much as other members and her quirky playing style and note choice is a big part of Band-Maid sound. Even though the guitar is often so low in the mix and hard to hear most of the time (actually the mix in this song is pretty good) if there's no Kanami the song sounds very different. Band-Maid is a sort of Band that embrace each member's difference to create the distinctive sound.
Saiki has matured a lot as a singer. In the studio, she tends to sound less powerful than live, but this is closer to her live energy and tone. I think most people under appreciate Miku, rather than Kanami, though metal heads can underestimate her, because she doesn’t play the shreddiest possible stuff all the time. If she did, they wouldn’t sound as good. She’s a composer first, guitarist second.
@@daaaaaave I've always seen way more praise and focus on Miku. It's very possible that's the community trying to bolster her numbers, but i see less Kanami love overall
@@CatharsisYTYou could be right about that, there were still some haters/gatekeepers around 2019/20 who were all, "She's not a guitar expert" as if that was all that mattered. I think that made the people who understood her value to the band more vocal, plus like they all do, she progressed and the haters quickly were left without an argument. But I think fans do appreciate Kanami just as much as the other members and get that she's the musical core. Band-Maid fans lean more towards song composition, structure, and execution vs. just technical skills - although we LOVE the skill too 😊
@@daaaaaaveMiku is getting so much love from fans, probably she's the ultimate fan favourite. We love every little improvement she makes and root for her. In the past Saiki got least attention. I'm glad she's getting more love from reactors. Actually everyone's talked about lately. Which makes me proud as a fan❤
Oh, and Kanami is, was, and always will be my heroine. MinchoZilla! 🎸🦖
Best rock band on the planet. If you want to hear some great bass watch HATE? live from Yokohama Arena and you won't be disappointed.

You're right, the drums are getting more punchy.
Not simple accents and fill-ins. It's carefully worked into the music. And it's intense.
Thanks so much for your sharing!
🕊️ most of Saiki's vocals are double tracked, and Miku is doing harmony as well. But Saiki's vocals have improved vastly this year.
*BAND MAID!*
Kanami is beast mode.

No the anime opener is nice but not a banger. Protect You looks and sounds really good in the anime
Hey, Limbus/EIM dropped another banger for a Boss called The King in Binds, it's called Audite Pauper & Vovete Miserias you should react to it!
Did you miss Bestie and Show them(though cant react to that yet so you wont get a strike)
I missed the sensible reaction windows for them, but i have heard them on my own time. Just had other commitments around their releases
