OK.... Now that you have heard a "Bucket Load" of tracks from Band Maid, you know that they are a rock band who pushes the boundaries of the "Rock sphere"...... in that they have no limit or boundary in the music that they produce. When you have MISA in your band, what do you do?? You let her be MISA. The same with Akane, Saiki, Miku and (for Me) Kanami. It is often overlooked (in particular the newer fans) that Kanami IS the main songwriter of the band. She writes the "core" song and the others add to it.... after. Misa and Kaname get all the props for most songs as their contributions are the most obvious. But for someone who doesn't quite get what each instrument does, can you explain Miku's contribution in rhythm guitar? How does it enhance the song and does she do a great job? Lots happening so I can't easily pick out what sound she is throwing at us.
Her work would be more obvious on other songs, here she's adding some very interesting lines as well though. Like that descending slide right after the first chorus ;)
@@akaalexanderking I missed that slide first couple of times listening to this song because of the overall song intensity but it adds so much. BM does a great job of adding little details like that to keep the song from sounding overly repetitive from verse to verse. .
A good song to listen to if you want to hear Miku's guitar is "Awkward." You can hear her playing the chords while Kanami lays the melody under. Another one is "Matchless Gum." Before Kanami's solo, the only 3 instruments you hear are Akane, MISA, and Miku. I would say that Miku's rhythm guitar helps build the layers of the songs. It also helps in driving the hype and energy, which allows Kanami to transition into her solos.
Ciao Finalmente Rinne!!! Headbanging incoming...
Did you see those drums? Akane don't now, because she erased them from existence! That's what happens when you don't feed enough bananas to the angry gorilla! 🤘
This is better than the live one I've seen. That one was done for television and shortened up a lot. It was not as good a performance. This, on the other hand, very good I felt.
Good video as always, perhaps you will find interesting this interview that a magazine did to Kanami, she talks about how they write their songs is from earlier this year. Don't get me wrong, i love when they play fast too. From their official channel "Bubble" ruclips.net/video/T_PWQtc7zVw/видео.html Sorry for the long post.

No. The LIVE version is not better than this. The same is true of 'Blooming'. Not that there's anything wrong with the LIVE, but for 'Rinne' it was an abbreviated LIVE to Video for a Television Show. For 'Blooming' the studio version is just superior to the LIVE version. These are probably the only two songs where that's true.

Float, disappear, fall
It is a negative reincarnation
Go around by leaving behind

Stupid yeah
Open your eyes
Even if you lose your breath

That won't end
Even if it's a meaningless mistake
Distort the gears
You know .....
The second hand does not stop
Get down
That's enough
I can't solve it, I can't wake up
Separation and breeding life
Rolling around
Far away
Go far away
I should zip my lips
Vomiting melancholy
I'll leave it up to you
I felt like I heard a voice
Close your eyes
Even if the dream is over
No one comes to help
I know .....
I can't sleep with this
Even in the dawn of justice
Nothing is born by imitation
You know .....
Break the second hand
Get down
Reincarnation
Living and Dying
Why?
What do you live for?
Honesty does not pay
That makes no sense
Open your eyes
I know.....

She writes the "core" song and the others add to it.... after. However with MISA, Kanami goes...."here's what I'm thinking of a bass line..... knock your socks off".
Finally...... I have subbed.
Band Maid is Band Maid
Agreed, there's a wonderful band dynamic between these girls. Thanks for the support!
I look forward to Maid Mondays..what a great way to start the week. Great reaction.
Thanks Kerry, no better way!
Good reaction. Great song. They all are amazing performers. Maybe “Different” next. Also a heavy and fast song. Thank you for this one.
Thank you for watching John :)
Rinne is Akane's song man. She hit those drums so hard and fast that Tama came out and accused her or assault and battery
Ahahahah, absolutely. Channeling her inner Dave Lombardo on this one
this is great THE HEAVIST
Banger of a tune 🤘🏻
I'd also like to suggest their biggest competition. "BAND MAIKO"
I heard they're the only band that could possibly outshine BAND MAID.
Stay tuned... 1st of April ;)
I really like the way you "hear" things. Your giggles. Your honesty. Your explanations, insights... + you're quite sympathetic, with a delightful accent (😁) keep up the the good work ! (Where' you from if I may ?) Think I saw all your Band-Maid reactions, I'm glad you're taking time to say how you do feel instead of just saying "dope" then to the next song. Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for the lovely words :) I'm Italian living in Ireland, I guess that explains the accent ahaha
5 minutes. still waiting
I know guys, I'm with you on this
Soz guys. My internet went down for the day. Naturally i had a story so awesome involving Akane, a bunch of bananas & MISA's missing whiskey but the moment's now lost :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 THERE HE IS! My day is made. lol
@@crabuki1273 I would've replied an hour ago GG Crabuki if i could keep any sort of connection. Workmen are digging up the same stretch of road that they dug up before & damaged fibre optic cables. I've missed "Rinne" & knowing my luck Chase, Champ & Tank will all react to B-M today. P.S you made my day too :)
Excellent reacction.Right the way it should be.And yyou´´re righf about Misa. After all, they always make the balance which makes all their songs good.About Akane, you just have to check Freedom and Turn me on
Oh, I know how great of a drummer she is João. Freedom live was phenomenal
Both versions of Puzzle?
Next Monday ;)
Misa and Kaname get all the props for most songs as their contributions are the most obvious. But for someone who doesn't quite get what each instrument does, can you explain Miku's contribution in rhythm guitar? How does it enhance the song and does she do a great job? Lots happening so I can't easily pick out what sound she is throwing at us.
Her work would be more obvious on other songs, here she's adding some very interesting lines as well though. Like that descending slide right after the first chorus ;)
@@akaalexanderking I missed that slide first couple of times listening to this song because of the overall song intensity but it adds so much. BM does a great job of adding little details like that to keep the song from sounding overly repetitive from verse to verse. .
Exactly, little things you keep on discovering on every listen 👍🏻
A good song to listen to if you want to hear Miku's guitar is "Awkward." You can hear her playing the chords while Kanami lays the melody under. Another one is "Matchless Gum." Before Kanami's solo, the only 3 instruments you hear are Akane, MISA, and Miku.
I would say that Miku's rhythm guitar helps build the layers of the songs. It also helps in driving the hype and energy, which allows Kanami to transition into her solos.
Which at the end of the day is what a great rhythmic guitar player should really be all about :)
Love Band-Maid. Have you ever listened to Tina S?
Not that I'm aware of. Any recommendations? :)
Ciao
Finalmente Rinne!!!
Headbanging incoming...
Don't you love the Kanami power-stance? Commitment from them all.
Powerful stance for powerful riffs, perfect equation 🤘🏻
Did you see those drums? Akane don't now, because she erased them from existence! That's what happens when you don't feed enough bananas to the angry gorilla! 🤘
She went into beast mode 💪🏻
TIME is running out for all of YOU! TIME won't wait for babies that won't grow up.
This is better than the live one I've seen. That one was done for television and shortened up a lot. It was not as good a performance. This, on the other hand, very good I felt.
Great performance 🤘🏻
Good video as always, perhaps you will find interesting this interview that a magazine did to Kanami, she talks about how they write their songs is from earlier this year.
The original is in japanese, this is a translation from the superfan t-shinji from reddit www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/m2rpth/translation_interview_with_kanami_on_the_march/
I wanna suggest another song from them a slower one, as you said in the video when the play a bit slower they shine more. Don't get me wrong, i love when they play fast too.

Sorry for the long post.
Thanks a lot Rafael, appreciate the links :)
Ha ha immediately click like even not knowing that🤪🤪🤪
Ahahahah thanks! Hope you actually enjoyed though 😁
Rinne heavy? Sure, but you haven't listened to Different have you ;-) That song defines their tagline "An impossibly hard rocking maid band".
Uhh, sounds promising ;)
I think Different is the opposite of heavy. It’s fast and thrashy, heavy is supposed to be slow and aggressive
Different was a grower for me. It was a bit mainstreamy, like afterlife and warning. It's fast and thrashy, but very catchy. I want you to react to more crazy and experimental songs from the latest album but I'll be patient. Take your time and enjoy your journey!
This reminds me of a chat I had with my brother a couple of days ago, seems like everyone has a different idea of what heavy music actually is 😁
I'm sure I'll get there, thanks 😉
MISA MISA MISA! the live video available SUCKS not the Bands fault had to be cut for TV
Cut performances are a crime again music :(
@@akaalexanderking they cut the second verse the one with the Pigeon Slides boooooooio
@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook Are you ok Dave? My internet went down all day after speaking to you & only got it back in the last hour (connection is still awful).
Unforgivable
@@akaalexanderking Lol. My apologies GG, i've watched your great reaction twice tho cos i lost connection half way thru the first :)
Actually , rarely this is one of their songs where studio one is better , due to production on bass and vocals, isn't there live.
Thanks Paul, glad I picked the best option 😁
Since you're reacting to Japanese bands, you should try this one. A collaboration of 2 bands, Unlucky Morpheus and Undead Corporation. Metal and violin go along very well.

Thanks for the link :)
Thanks for letting me know!
I would add "Clang" but that is a personal preference the live to me doesn't have the punch the studio version does
