      Study with Adarsh Thanks. It is good demand but lot of ideas are in my mind. First I would like to prepare videos on basic syllabus of Geology so that those who watch videos they can clear their basic concept which will require for any exam.I will be happy if my content can like by Jam Aspirants.
      Now my next target will be palaeontology, mineralogy and petrology where students having a phobia.
      I am in future going to prepare videos on Indian stratigraphy,Economic Geology, Environmental Geology,Disaster Management,Geotectonics.Engineering Geology and General Geology.
      These videos will definately help the JAM Aspirants. At this moment I am not in the position to prepare JAm preparation or paper solving videos.
      Thanks for your suggestion in future i will definately work on it.

    Please sir help me to clear does axis passes through the centre of faces of the crystal or the edges of the crystal. If they pass through the centre of the face then 100 is ok if this passes through edges then indices will change

    • @pcgeokimberlite2947
      @pcgeokimberlite2947  3 года назад +1

      In cubic system Galena Type first model cube- in which all three axes are passing through the centre it may be your a axis denoted a1 passing through front and back face pair where as b axis denoted as a2 pass through centre of the side faces pair and c axis denoted as a3 passes through centre of the top and bottom face pair while remaining axis are parallel hence indices will be 100 , 010 and 001.
      In case if the axis passing through centre of the edges example model no 111 octagedron it consist of 8 similar triangular faces cutting all the edges at equal in length hence indices we will write for only front face 111 but in it depending upon the possition of the face whether it will be located front top side or front bottom side 11 bar1 and if the faces are situated in side left top 111,left bottom 12 bar1,and on right hand side top 1bar11,while on left bottom 1 bar1 bar1 will be the indices.
      But for mode 1 11 octahedron we normaly wright indices of front face indice 111
      Same practice we will follow for all crystal models of all systems.
      I hope you get your answer and understand the point you raise in your question.

    sir in rutley's book it is given by class and in bangar it is given by type. Though Im finding type way easier to understand. so basically first comes the system then class and then type and forms? is it?

      Ritisha it is one and the same. It is depend upon How are going to feed in your memory ones it is done then you can write as per your choice. No one cut your marks if you not written like Rutley's book.
      First try to understand in a simpler way.once you know then you can adopt your own style to represent and convience the others.

      @@pcgeokimberlite2947 Yes sir I have found some mini boxes similar to tetragonal orthorhombic and a dice and a hexagonal pencil to understand the concept by my own :D One more thing I wanted to ask sir, in the syllabus of JAM under the minerology unit the syllabus is "symmetry and forms in common crystal classes" so for this I dont need to focus (just for now) on other classes apart from normal or common class? I mean the syllabus is saying common crystal classes so that means the class which have most number of symmetries right? Like in the tetragonal system the common or normal class is Ditetragonal Dipyramidal (4/m2/m2/m) which is also known as zircon type. So I have to focus on symmetry and forms of only this class right and not of others?
