Germinating Cornelian Cherry Seeds

This is how to grow cornelian cherry (Cornus mas) from seed. They need a warm/cold stratification and germinate quite easily afterwards. 3 months warm followed by 3-4 months cold moist stratification have worked well for me. You can find free cornelian cherry seeds by foraging in parks, arboretums, etc. to grow hardy food forest fruit trees. Cornus mas are great for permaculture, agroforestry systems, and home gardens.
