I personally like any character with a possible emphasis on bullet game. While I see a lot of people use Patchy for that, and I do too, I just don't see why people haven't been using Alice for keepaway games like Patchy. I've been trying it out, she's pretty balanced in that area. She can set up her C dolls to shoot lasers and bullets and the ones that stay are saying "Keep away or she'll use 22B and I'll cut you." Quite literally.
i main patchouli as well! i think she is also very good at shutting down yuyuko and aya because yuyuko's bullets breaks very easily and without those distractions, we can dodge her melee attacks and patchy is really good for keeping our own zone and aya is for going into other's zone, patchy and easily punish aya's movement.
As a Patchy main who has a friend that is Meilin Main... Gosh it is a huge pain in the ass to try to keep my friend off of me... Like, Patchy isn't very quick, and some of her powerful stuff, she doesn't hit what is directly infront of her, and that can be a huge problem XD Basically playing Patchouli is pretty much all about making sure your opponent isn't in your face so you can overwhelm them with spells. Or, be pro, and know how to melee properly with Patchouli, but that is a bit hard.
From my experience patchy has the strongest average spell damage, but Youmuu and Suwako have 'strongest' spell cards, either due to versatility or just straight up beastly damage :o

I'm not too sure what your question is, but I have three answers: A) You don't have the spell card yet: Play Arcade mode with Patchouli. You have a high chance of getting Philosopher's Stone "Five Elements" this way. I'm not too sure if difficulty level matters. B) When you get the card, go to "Profile" then "Deck Construction" then either player 1 or player 2 (or your own name if you would like). From there select Patchouli and go to the Deck Construction page. There are 4 different slots for decks (per character) so mix and match to see what works the best. Once you are done, click "B" (or x on keyboard) to exit, and agree to save changes. Later, in character select, find the same profile and deck for your character. C) When you have Philosopher's Stone active, your special moves (Summer Red: ⬇️↘️➡️B/C, Autumn Edge: ⬇️↙️⬅️B/C, Winter Element: ⬇️⬇️B/C, Spring Wind: ➡️⬇️↘️B/C and Dew Spear: ⬅️⬇️↙️B/C) Summon Colored bullets of the same element. You can't summon bullets from the same element twice in a row however.
@@jeanegreene374 You can summon bullets from the same element twice in a row, its just that when each "stone" breaks, it takes a while for it to come back, and before it comes back activating the element skill again doesn't get you extra bullets aiding. But mostly you won't be bothered by that since you will be cycling through most of your skills, depending on the distance you might skip Earth because it won't land the normal skill anyway if you are too far, and as Patchy you want to be far away(So you can utilize your water pillar a bit more strategically and have the luxury of powering through your opponents projectiles with ease), though most of the time your opponent will not allow that. You can build decks that center around the Philospher Stones, and there I suggest grabbing at least 1 Windball or lightning of your own choice so that it can better disrupt your opponent while trying to cope with your attacks. The normal Earth isn't super great and is a bit more defensive, the one making earth pillars pop up around you is a great get off of me option when your opponent is close in your face, and you just activate the skill card to just get them off, its a good alternative to items, tho whiffing it is really bad, so you might just run a couple item cards anyway. No need to change the skills of your other 3 elements, you can bring a couple to empower the skills abit tho. For actuall spellcards, just run acouple cheap ones and the philosopher stones, if you really feel the urge of defensiveness and spell card gain, run the recovery 3 cost, it basically cycles you 3 cards. Running Suikas wine container is also a good choice for turboing out the 5 cost. You can whiff the 5 cost, tho not after all stones are in place, so go ham and go wild. The most ideal set up can also include the spell replenish faster item, stacking it would be fairly helpful since you would be spamming skills. You are also not entitled to only use skills, mix in your other specials etc. is a good thing especially due to how much pressure everything together gives you.
Imo Base Earth is actually pretty good. It easily sets up ozikeme and works as great disruption against strong horizontal bullets such as Sakuya B and Yuyuko C. Personally I find that Phliosopher's Stone is really gimmicky and has some guard crush situations, but Royal Flare does more reliable damage. The start up of Philosopher's Stone requires you to knock down the opponent, and most of Patchouli's combos end in wall slams. I like the replace the normal wood as multi hit bullets rip through the graze time. As Patchouli you need to be careful if you stay too far away as Charge Yuyuko C, Human Spirit Passing by, Bounce no Bounce, Utsuho C etc. can really screw over Patchy who has a relatively low density bullet game, and poor AOE. I like to stay mid range (enough to get a shotgun Noachian), so if I land a counterhit Dew Spear or Summer Red I can lead into a 6C-j6C or an abridged BnB.

Sakuya and Yuyuko are pure cheats tho, Okuu I don't find her that horrible to deal with. Philospher's Stone isn't good, being completely real, in honesty Diamond Ring and Royal Flare(As 5 costs) are a lot better at helping Patchy out in an actual match, but I was trying to build a Philospher's Stone deck and its fun to build one, and it performs well... if I can actually survive getting the card out and blow any opponents to crisp, since spellcards aren't everything. The good part about the Stones are mainly the extreme amount of bullet density you can achieve forcing your opponent to play more defensively and you can find good chances to guard crush and getting free damage. But you could always just royal flare and just burn 4k health :/
