⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute, we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But then we were back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare... our van caught fire!! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and made our way to Japan. We enjoyed a three-month Japanese Adventure and then got back to Martha for some new European Adventures. After an incredible three-month Scottish road trip, we have now packed up our van and are heading to Australia for a new van life adventure!

After drying my eyes, wiping the floor and telling the pooch she's a good girl (for just watching my beetroot red face), I then had to skip back to where I was before. Only to go back to the scene of the incident and laugh at it again!

Just have to tell you ( from America) that I woke up to an elk eating right outside my door this morning and last week a herd of wild horses came into the campground I was in.
Also, I think the west coast is beautiful and the ocean rough. Come on over and see us. You might want to plan on going to Canada/ British Columbia during the warmer months since you’re already over on this continent.

It’s very expensive, but with in vitro it’s possible to get a gestational carrier to bear your biological child (this is something I researched with my 29-year old daughter who also has epilepsy). But you don’t have to have kids at all. All choices are valid.

If you come to the USA, please remember to visit the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, N. Idaho, Montana). Europeans usually start out on the Atlantic coast or the American south (Florida). The western states are quite a bit bigger than those in the rest of the country except for Texas and Alaska. The geography in the PNW is fascinating and stunningly beautiful and there is so much to see. I would be happy to share a list of amazing places to visit in this neck of the woods as we say. I planned an itinerary for a couple from England who have traveled quite extensively and they told me it was the most enjoyable trip they've ever taken (I included service stations and good places to eat as well as the amazing places and things to see that visitors to our region usually miss out because tourist and guide books only include the most obvious items in their books. I am so pleased to have found your channel. You both are truly wonderful. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey. xxx

Community. What a fabulous answer. Only found you when you came to Tasmania, our home. Best island in the world. So I have alot of binging to do. Love your natural way and excitement. We are in our mid seventies, and very much like you, couldn't have children, but we made the best of it. Now live in a small home on a beach with our 3 labradors. Life is short so, enjoy each day, money isn't everything, climb those mountains, swim, walk, read, write,

I've road-tripped both the US and NZ, in a car (US) and a van (NZ).
NZ is very easy for van life; you can park almost anywhere if you have a fully self-contained van, and there are also many national parks that have very cheap overnight parking (I think it was $6.50 a night). Despite how small the country is, you could easily be there for 6-12 months and still not see everything. I don't recall ever being stuck for a place to pull over and sleep for the night. It does get very cold though, so make sure you have someway to heat the van.
In the US, hiring a van was much too expensive (and I can't build one), so I just got a car and stayed in cheap hotels. It is an exciting place, and you could easily spend 6 months travelling. I think the most interesting thing i find, is that it is so similar to home, but with these slight differences that make it somewhat like you are in a parallel universe. I think it would be challenging to find park-ups in the cities, though; once you get out of the cities, it would be simple enough. Hell, if you have a lot of US subs, you should see if people will let you park in their driveway or yard and then plot all those out on a map to make a rough itinerary!
My number one place to visit in NZ was this off-the-beaten-path (literally) Beach called Sullivan's Bay in Mahurangi Regional Park. It is apparently very busy in summer, but I went in May, and there was only one other caravan there. Sea lions on the beach was the highlight.
My number one place in the US was Monument Valley. If you go, do a tour with the local tribe, it was almost like a religious experience even though I am not religous.
If you do the US in a van, I would also do Canada and Mexico too while you are on the continent and have a van. I would also go to Cuba and travel there, but I am not sure how you would get a van there.

Great video. Love your guys' enthusiasm. I've lived in California almost my whole life, but have also lived in Spain and have traveled extensively (but not as much as the two of you). I've been to about 25 countries, many in Europe I've visited more than once. But I have not traveled extensively in my own country. A couple of years ago I took a short, 3-week van life trip up the coast from California, through Oregon, through Washington, into Canada (where we were broken into), and back down through Wyoming and Utah. I saw some incredible sights. I don't think anything can rival the Swiss Alps, but you will be blown away by what you see in Yosemite here in California, the forested coasts in Oregon, the amazing greenery of Olympic State Park in Washington, the geysers in Yellowstone in Wyoming, and you'll love the sense of being in another world when you visit the parks in Utah (Bryce, Zion, Arches). And that was just the highlights here on the West Coast. I had always traveled to Europe, Asia, and Latin America when I had some travel time, but that road trip I took a few years ago has made me want to devote a year or two to driving around my own country. I hope you guys make it out to the USA. I don't think you'll be disappointed :)

@@phillyandkeelyit is spectacular. Norway is beautiful at every turn. It was hard to get anywhere because we kept wanting to stop to take pictures. We spent a month there with 10 days in the Lofoten Islands. The midnight sun was a highlight. Sweden is beautiful too in a different way with lots of forests and lakes.
Just discovered you guys. I've been on the road ten years now in New Zealand. You would love it here. So much to see! All the roads, outside the cities, are picturesque. Lots of freedom camping.

I live full-time in a MoHo with my partner and getting outdoors in nature is always soothing for the soul, when times can get a little tough. We have converted a 7 meter Nissan Civilian. My first criteria was I had to have my own toilet and shower cubicle. We have spent a total of a year living under that lovely cosy roof. We have our own solar power system. We run a real small house. Love free camping! We are Australian.

I absolutely love your channel! I was so excited to hear that you may come to the USA! My husband, myself and our 11yo daughter live in Georgia in the mountains near an awesome town called Helen that is decorated sort of like a Dutch/Alpine village. We think you guys would find it cute. We would even let you park your rig here while you visited if you wanted! Aside from that I wanted to ask if you guys have thought about doing an event where you meet and greet your viewers?
