I used one for the first time yesterday. Found an improvment especially when flying behind myself. Also, thanks for all your xlite videos. I found them super helpful
Hi Mark, I have a helifar X-140 and I also had low RSSI right next to the radio so tomorrow I'm going to try a dipole just to see how it does. Thanks for the information.
Having matched antenna polarisation makes a huge difference, many transmitters have horizontally polarised antennas so If you mount the one on the quad vertically it's a 20dB loss. One of my only failsafe crashes was a result of this.
I have that Tx and I have had a lot of issues, that control is to go no longer than 200 mts even whit that antenna, so looks cool but is not that I was waiting for
Want to get one of these for traveling purposes. I thought I saw that a company provides the X-lite fully customized and ready to use out of the box? Anyone know of this? Thanks.
haha, XD totally agree. omg your closing are always quality moments. XD yap just try and test. that's a part of this hobby. do u feel it is better than the internal antenna? i know internal have bad back range. but forward? look almost the same to me...is it?
Im new to fpv i bought my dji set online today. I want to know will i ever get that shake lines on my fpv googles? Is it normal on fpv googles? It seems scary and i could lose my drone if i cant see cuz of those lines.
It depends on how and where you fly. It will be different with DJI. With DJI it will get blurry instead of staticy. It’s both better and worth with DJI. You can go further and have it crystal clear, but when it starts to go bad it happens faster than with analog. Either way you’ll be surprised how well you can see through it. But to start stay near and have Line of Site until you get used to it.
@@SimRacer101 thanks brother i subscribe to your channel you got dope videos. FPV looks fun i just bought it to make cinematic videos even tho it was so expensive lol :)
+1👍 Vertical???? i'd never have thought!!!! thank you, i will try! otherwise i was disappointed, for me it was worse than internal when i tried the one time. 210m was my limit too. can't wait to try after this week's rain rain rain.
Being a major gamer, and loving the feel of a PS and also a Steam controller, this thing is very appealing to me. It may just be a winner soon, as I retire my devo 7e and get into Taranis. Hopefully I can find someone that has one locally, to have a feel of it in my hands first.
I haven’t had a PS controller in a long time. But it feels very comfortable just like my X-Box controllers. The weight makes it much easier to use for longer periods.
Nathan Carey you hadn't gotten it. What I meant was that I was wondering if this antenna would work in a 900MHz control link, and if it did, how it would perform with the TBS Immortal T antenna. I know that this control link in this video is in 2.4GHz.
It’s an XSR. They are a first gen small telemetry receiver so they don’t have exceptional range making it ideal for this test. An XM+ would go WAY further.
Hey dronemesh! Im flying with the xlite with r9m lite 900mhz module on 100mW. Got to like 800meters, then the quad felt mushy and when i turned to fly back i had almost a failsafe wuad was responding very bad. Can you give me some advice? Also, it is constant saying telemetry lost/found..
doesn't fit in the case ! for me (I LOVE THE X-Lite) it is for my small kwads especially the Vifly 150 and (soon) Diatone 515 ..for my 5" 6" 7" I feel I need the heft of the QX7 ..as always I LOVE your videos. Thank You ..

Mine comes today!! Cannot wait! It's my first frsky so I'm in for a learning experience!
I cant change in open tx to external antenna. Anyone know this Problem 🤷♂️

WOW ! Great now I don't know what to get. I had to watch this again for I could make up my mind on a R9 module or a external antenna
That remote looks so cool !!! Nice testing!!!!!
I noticed you're set to D16. Does this transmitter do D8?
The VAS diamond ;) perfection.

Polarity shouldn’t make as much difference on this if it’s setup like other folded dipole antennas?
U really got a crush on that radio.
Love it..
Thinking about to get one finaly by myself.
Kicking my flysky away.
Just got mine in the mail today
Great review Mark 😀
That's awesome, Mark! Good to know!!! 😀
"reception is really low with this model" do you mean the kwad or tx?

Hey, the x lite timer does not work. You set the timer to 3 min and is very slow it end up being over 5min. Does yours do that??? Check it out.
Weird, I will try it tomorrow.
Thanks you for your HQ review!
Did you do the T antenna vs the 5db?
Great information, thank you for sharing!
Will it work with the R9M Lite? I'm interested in how it performs with the Immortal T antenna...
Pedro Griebler Reche He’s already looked at that? The T in this video is 2.4ghz.

Pedro Griebler Reche Why would a 2.4ghz antenna work in 900mhz? Something this small would likely be terrible in 900mhz even if it was tuned.
Thnx for the info Bro!
Does it fit in the case with the antenna on?
No it does not.
Thx
I don’t know why I want so many videos on this controller. I need to just break down and buy it.
It’s now my go to back yard flyer.
Same
What receiver is in the futon

Yes That is an issue. But I do like I can fit both this and the big TBS antenna in the case with the radio in the top.
T antenna looks to work better so is definitely worth to buy it. (Y)
And...got that too.
Great.
Qx7 blows the xlite away.
I can't wait to get one right now the hobby store has none but as soon as they get them in I'm going to get one. JohnnyDRC
