Automation items in REAPER are so powerful. They basically made them fully powered, so that nobody ever needs anything more to ask for.

I really love Reaper. Hey can you please add a feature: when I select multiple tracks in studio one and play with the balance on faders and panning, I can simply right click and 'copy channel settings' then click play and punch-in in that copied values for them tracks (kinda, bit fiddly still though) by 'paste channel settings (when they are selected still) and then I click write and shift+click on the fader and panner of one of the selected tracks and it writes in that section change (verse ch1 verse 2 etc bride solo mid 8 etc). Please can you add 'copy all channel settings feature please, and also add 'paste channel settings' also, - this would allow me to turn off read automation to none (this is how I do it in studio one) and do a fader and panner balance fr this section eg. chorus2 and then I would while they are all selected 'copy channel settings' and then I would play back from just before the section change and click a button to punch in those values on those tracks (studio one its: play>write>shift+click on fader and shift+click on panner of one of the selected tracks to action the recording of the automation on the faders and panner of them> then click stop and select latch for them, now play back same place and when they all change then shift+click fader and shift+click panner of one of the selected tracks and watch the timeline as latch keep recording the change for the section>then at the end of eg. chorus 2 click stop and put it into read. This would be awesome in Reaper!

    Kenny,
    I just noticed something odd.
    Assume the following:
    * Insert new automation item when writing... is checked
    * Playback loop mode is on
I'm trying to write some funky EQ automation to a short passage of VO without affecting the VO clips just prior to, and just following, the looped section.
I play, and tweak the EQ.
Automation items get created for all the parameters I adjust.
BUT.... the automation items don't end at the loop point! They actually extend a little BEYOND the loop point, and thus affect the following VO clip.
    Is this a bug?
    FWIW, I'm running v5.61/64 on Win7.
    Cheers.

Kenny! When I apply automation to midi items, it doesnt seem to have an effect. It will if I bounce it to audio, but is there a way yo not need to do that?
