Morally as an outsider, he had no right to challenge for the estate. And that was a move about money and nothing more. I haven't even finished watching the Video yet.
If he had sued for defamation than I would definitely understood his anger but he sued for half the estate so he’s looking funny. Come on Mr. Garland. Plus the fact he accepted the money shows his entire claims are lies. An honest person wouldn’t be suing for half the estate after a child passed away.

To top it off, he gave the world Tupac. You should have to say the honorable Billy Garland especially if you're black. Put some respek on his name!
This man keeps talking about it wasn’t about money and the first thing he does is sue the estate! Then you’re talking about his activities and counting his money. Then he say I’m not going to talk bad about Ms. Afeni and then go in to insinuate negative. He says that Pac asked him about his mother, and we know that’s a lie, because he knew his mother in the past had a drug issue, it’s documented in his song! You mean to tell me, from age 3 to when he played in Juice, this man knew his son and made attempts to contact him unsuccessfully 🤔 Now the two people to know undoubtedly the truth are deceased and he comes up here giving stories that we all know and can read, he was never a father and that was by choice, because he moved on with another family. It wasn’t until Pac was famous that he wanted a relationship and moved mountains to get it, too late, and then later he becomes the exact vulture that he speaks about and went after the money! He found that quicker than he found his actual son when he was living! Shame
There is a clip of Afeni talking about Billy suing her, it’s very powerful. It’s clear this man is trash, crazy so many people think because he says it that it must be true. Tupac wouldn’t respect him
@@Emmz-hr6tm I don’t know if it’s the idea that this is a biological make up of Pac that’s appealing to the masses, or in some cases the absentee parent is so much desired that the idea of that person is created in the minds of those that may be lacking or just have a warped view of truth here. Regardless the man’s character is questionable, due to the fact he has not in my opinion done anything worth praise, except seemingly discrediting Ms Afeni as a parent, tell random stories, and count pac’s pockets! He was talking about the money Pac spent on this or that in meticulous details, but that’s what they did back then and still to this day! He’s money hungry and wants to paint a picture of a long lost father, cheated out of being father, when in fact he folded his hand in the game, not realizing he had created the perfect version of himself! I still say shame on him and I call BS on his random stories!

Im glad he got some bread from his son. They always try to devalue fathers. Im sure Mr Garland wasn't perfect but sometime angry mothers try to keep fathers away after the the father moves on to the next woman.
Imagine how much growth took place between both of them from the 6 hours they had together. As this man is sitting recounting his time with his son, you can tell that it meant the world to him. I'm sure Tupac probably went back to his cell with a myriad of emotions. My, LORD!!!

The worst thing about these videos is no one is around to respond. Where was the interviews when they were alive? There was plenty of opportunity for interviews while they were alive.
This is what I was thinking. We have no clue if any of his words are true. Afeni can't defend herself. It's pretty convenient he feels comfortable saying all this after both of them are gone.
Sounds like he was in love with the woman and was mad she chose another man. Then again, Billy wasn't even there to see his son being born while being in a relationship himself. LOL usually one who is that mad is mad that someone didn't want them the same way they wanted them so he's taking out all his anger out on the woman he had a crush on. It has little to do with 2Pac because if so, he would've put more of an effort post-prison to remain in contact with him.
Why didn’t he donate that money? Pac always gave back. I’m pretty sure if Pac knew that his own dad sued him, he would be disappointed. Everybody always want something for themselves.
@@que851 well his son is dead so that’s not possible. When people die there left with things to remember them by like….. a suit. So he considered selling the suit for money but……. It’s not about money?
He is significantly bigger than Tupac, the point he couldn’t do anything with the suit because he couldn’t wear it, I don’t think he ever did sell it BTW
Because she had Tupac and then moved without telling him. Then she told Tupac he was dead. He only found Tupac because of his movie posters. If it wasn’t for that he would’ve never found him. They had a close relationship since after the quad shooting. So if he was a “sperm donor” it was Afeni’s doing.
imagine her being mad that he got $1 million and she got so much, Tupac would have given his father more even if he wasn’t after it, just because he loves his family, Tupac really valued family
He wanted half and was trying to paint this picture to the courts like he is doing now, like he was this great father and deserving because he showed up at the hospital and came to a few prisons visit after Tupac was already famous. The courts/judge decided he should receive 900k because he took a blood test that determines he was actually Tupac's father. This guy did not deserve any of Tupac's estate and should be ashamed of himself for thinking that he does because he did not help raise and nurture Tupac, no matter what the reason was.
Im going through what hes going through... and when your baby mother just ups and leaves with your child there is nothing you can do about it especially if your in the streets...the first thing my baby mother did was say imma tell the courts your doing such and such and she can really prove that shit....its a fucked up game.
Also Mr Garland is still being respectful towards afeni. Notice how men try to protect the image of the mom while the mom does all she can to destroy the image of the dad. I see this all the time every day in life. As a result, people view the mom as the hero, and the dad is scum. And people end up having a bias and hatred towards men, while believing women are the fairer sex.
Afeni had the right to be skeptical man. No matter how you look at it, Billy didn't get super interested in connecting with Tupac until AFTER he saw he was a movie star.

He had other kids to take care of man, it's not like he was gonna leave them all to go find 1 child and also back then it was harder to get a hold of people especially when they're moving around a lot.
@@yutinhoqrvb6871 that's fair, but then does that mean it was more important for him to take care of those kids than to find Tupac? I see the argument for that, but fact is, he prioritized that. Is what it is. I don't think he's a villain or just a scumbag. It just looks funny no matter what, and him talking down on Afeni in any context AFTER she's dead and can no longer defend herself (to be fair, he talked about her while she was alive too, but still) is sketchy. Him getting *any* money from Tupac's estate is sketchy. He wasn't there, and being there wasn't the most important thing for him. If my dad came back and that was the case .. sheesh idk. I can't even imagine a scenario where that would happen. Parents are supposed to be restless and desperate without their kids. Pac was gone like 15-17 years and Billy was just like, "yeah, I guess h'e out there somewhere."
He may have been his biological father, but he was NOT Pac's active parent. Pac considered Mutulu Shakur his father and in his own words, his mother raised him ALONE... Where was Mr. Garland when they were struggling during his youth? He can say anything now that neither Tupac or Afeni are here to refute his claims. Come on people.
@@seds94 Consider your words. You must be the same type of father he was since you were so "bothered" you felt the need to comment. Your spirit is of obvious filth. He fits the definition of a sperm donor based on the words and description of Tupac Amaru Shakur aka LaSane Paris Crooks. Do your research. It was in his interviews as well as his music. So why be mad at me for quoting what he said??? That makes you ignorant and pressed, as well as gullible for believing someone who is speaking after the only other 2 people who can verify or refute his claims are deceased.
Now in the last interview they did he said that back in those days they would just have sex if you were just attracted to the person there was no attachment so in actuality she was right he was just a sperm donor
He did say that they had casual sex in the Black Panthers, but him and Afeni began to develop something. However, Garland preferred another woman who became his wife over Afeni. Garland was in Pac's life up until like 4 yrs old. Sounds like Afeni was still bitter, then decided to cut off Garland from his son. Garland did say Pac confronted his mother about lying that his father was dead. She even tried to say on Pac's dead certificate that his father was deceased. Garland had to step up and say he wasn't dead. To me, sounds like Afeni did some foul shit, in regards to letting Garland be a father to Tupac.
@@HappyRoach1idk if you watched the dear mama documentary but Tupac’s auntie Gloria said it was more like a casual sex relationship and she got with another guy and then after that she found out she was pregnant with Tupac so she thought the other guy was his biological father, i don’t think she was in love with Billy. But we really don’t know what happened because we weren’t even there, we’re relying on everyone’s retrospective memory from almost 52 and almost 27 years ago. Billy Garland’s perspective is different from Afeni’s in which she can’t even provide anymore because she’s deceased.
Billy Garland is to Afeni what Marvin Gaye was to Anna Gordy lol I'm surprised Billy didn't start a music career and do his own version of Here, My Dear. "AFENI!!!!" like he's Marvin. Hahaha "Afeni's Song".

Tupac would've given him money if he wanted him to have it. I'm disgusted this man got anything. Y'all gotta know a liar when you hear one. It's all in the details. And how angry would you be raising an amazing young man who became famous and then the father wants to act like he wanted to be there but he wasn't. I wonder how hard did Pac's father work to try and see him...🤔 Pac and Afeni are not here to be a part of this discussion... I kind of get the feeling that million dollar settlement has been spent.

You said it wasnt about the money but still took a milli, which you still didnt have to take!!
It’s interesting how people are bashing Tupac and his mother now that they’re gone. That’s some sad shit! I’ll tell you this and ask Tupac’s father next time you interview him. How would Tupac feel to hear this man speak about his mother like this and how would Tupac feel about all these niggas agreeing with him. “Dear Mama” - Afeni was Tupac’s Black Queen. Y’all keep on playing with this Man’s legacy! I come from a legacy of men who don’t talk about their relationships and if asked they say they were at fault too. Tupac’s father hasn’t said one time what he did wrong or I missed that conversation. But I guarantee you that he did something wrong!
No excuses for her lying. She’s no different than the women today. If a man doesn’t want a woman no more, she’ll interfere in the relationship he has with their child.
Nah…he didn’t deserve any cash though…he was a crab for fighting for the estate …he didnt raise him nor did he financially support him..every one is a clout chaser
Mr. Garland didn’t have a choice but suing the estate of his son. Mr. Garland had to protect his name. Also, he have other children that he had to protect. All you have in life is God and your name that your parents give you. Especially when a woman name you and dies after she given birth to you.
You’re contradicting. If he’s a believer of God, then he knows his name means nothing in this world. The law suit was about money, period! And that’s fine, just be honest about it. He received an heirloom and thought about selling it on eBay. Y’all have to be slow to not be able to read between the lines

Just like him saying him suing the estate wasn't about money and then he goes on saying that he didn't mind getting paid. Ooookay? I thought it wasn't about the money? You see what I mean? He keeps contradicting himself. The more he talks the more I realize why he lost the case against the estate.

He needs to stop saying "he coulda used some money" since he didn't ask, IF he want me to believe its genuine cuz if he really didn't feel no type of way bout others Pac gave money to, why bring it up AT ALL IF he didn't want it. When people bring up the past their usually not over it. BUT if he would have accepted or asked for any money wouldn't have REALLY helped him AT ALL. Pac didn't owe him nothing 🤷

People act like Afeni wasn't on drugs and basically a part time mother. None of his parents were great but his experiences shaped him into the man we know and love. I'm sure Pac would have wanted his dad to have a piece of his fortune.
Right bruh she started getting back active in his life after he got famous before that she was on crack and in rehab. He was kicked out the house at 17.
Everyone knew she was on drugs. Pac was kicked out of the house for confronting Afeni about it. He was homeless for several months before someone eventually housed him (I forget who it was). By then, Pac was 17 years old. We know exactly what Afeni was doing and how she was self destructive during that period (this was after she was being searched for her ties to Mutulu, who ran from the law/government for years until he was eventually captured). So this narrative that we forgot she was on drugs is just flaky. And Billy still wasn't around but by then he had settled in New Jersey.
Billy Garland sounds like a crook to me, he's very good with his words. With all the information out there, it's crazy to me how people let guys like Billy to change narrative of the story. Pac said it in his own words that he didn't care to have a DNA test because it would not make him love Billy more or less. Billy has no story with Pac when pac got out jail but Tupac moves his mother to Cali to be close to him so it's crazy to me for Billy to claim that nobody had Pac's back like he did while Afeni raised Tupac on her own and Pac said that his mother was his best friend. And if he didn't care about the money then why sue the estate to get money from a son he didn't raise at all
Then why state he was dead (again) on the death certificate .. even after it was clearly a lie?!? You typed a novel and it took a line of fact to blow it up.
Plus they're putting words in Pac's mouth. Few have said - without showing proof mind you - that Pac said publicly how his mother betrayed him when he never said that. Or that he and his father was getting close (he talked of WANTING to get close to him in the Vibe interview, not that they WERE close). It's like they have this narrative to tear down Afeni, which in turn tears down 2Pac - even if it isn't their intention and unfortunately that's what Delray, Billy, AOD are doing without realizing it.
he claims he did not want Tupac money but he was fighting for control of the Tupac Estate in court versus Afeni Shakur and glows at the one million he got and complained about Afeni giving him one of Tupac's three piece suits because he never imagined it would be worth any money on ebay way back in the 2000s when he got it... This guy may be Tupac's father but come on folks.. he was not there until the fame and money and how huge Poetic Justice became... this guy reminds me of the father character in Coming to America who did not care about the African Janitor until he discovered he was an African Prince of a wealthy royal house and goverment even if that movie was fictional and comedy... This guy just tells on himself that he really wants the money and fame and to rub shoulders with the famous.
He has no pictures of him with his son during the first 3 years that he was in Pac's life. Not one. That's very suspect. Also, Delray think he's slick giving Billy all of these softball questions. Billy can go into detail about Afeni gambling, the Shakur family making Pac out to be the outcast of the family, and Afeni lying to Pac but when it comes to where he fell short the only thing he can say is "I could have been around more". "I wasn't stable". What caused the instability? Were you on drugs yourself sir? What about the family you had at home? Were they why you eventually abandoned your son?
Defending a woman who lied to her son for nearly 20 years so much so that he made a song about it "my daddy was a coward because he wasnt there, he passed away and I didn't cry, because my anger wouldn't let me feel for a stranger" He was told that his father passed away. His mother even stood by the lie on her son's death certificate. What is a man supposed to do, let the lie continue to live?!??!?
@@AssistantToTheHNIC For the last time, the father that he was speaking on in Dear Mama was Legz. He didn't even know Billy existed until after Dear Mama was created. This is what happens when a man who barely knew his son speaks as if he knows everything about him. With that being said, we still don't know if Billy's truth is the truth because Pac and Afeni are dead. This I do know and find odd. 1. He said that he was in Pac's life up until he was 3 years old when Afeni ran off with their son. He claims that he asked around and someone said they moved to Baltimore, but Afeni lived with her kids in NYC until Pac was 12. She was working as a paralegal in the Bronx. The only reason why they moved to Baltimore is because they had to go underground to dodge the feds because Mutulu became a fugitive. 2. If Billy was in his life for the first 3 years, where are the pictures of him with Pac as a baby and toddler. The only pictures he has with his son are the prison pictures.

Shame

And if he didn't care about the money then why sue the estate to get money from a son he didn't raise at all
EXACTLY!
You're full of more shit than a cesspool and a major contributor to the reasons why Black American Men are losing
Can we see the list of visitors somewhere?
he claims he did not want Tupac money but he was fighting for control of the Tupac Estate in court versus Afeni Shakur and glows at the one million he got and complained about Afeni giving him one of Tupac's three piece suits because he never imagined it would be worth any money on ebay way back in the 2000s when he got it...
You sound like a bitter Heifer
Oh he's a scumbag.
Defending a woman who lied to her son for nearly 20 years so much so that he made a song about it "my daddy was a coward because he wasnt there, he passed away and I didn't cry, because my anger wouldn't let me feel for a stranger"
He was told that his father passed away.
I believe you deserve nothing from the estate...u were not really around to deserve anything...
U could of made yourself rich with books...pac insight tours especially over seas....
But u did capitalize the weak way...trying to come up on the estate...
Much better than watching glad.

I was raised by my step pops. My dad showed up when I was raised. Now he wants to take credit??? Afeni is THE Mother of a rebel and quite possibly Hip-Hop. Let bygones be bygones Billy!
