I grew up in the 1990s but I celebrate Hanukkah. But, just like Hanukkah I also love christmas and in the 1990s it was a wonderful time to be a kid. I was also a gamer as my grandfather bought me a snes for me to play with both my mom and dad and my two brothers. Sadly a few months later my grandfather passed away and i wanted to thank him even though I was 4. Never the less growing up in the 1990s was still a great decade to live in and celebrate both christmas and Hanukkah.
It's wild seeing these older decades commercials and how much the quality and heart of their products changed. It just feels so hollow today. Not sure if it's just me or if anyone agrees.
Yeah, like we're one of those kids that just walks out of the forest after what seems like 30 years, only to realise it was just a dream and everyone is at home just as we left them
I love the 90s, That's my favorite decade, Those years were wonderful times and That decade will never go out of style. I didn't live those years, I wasn't born in those times, but That's the decade I'll never forget. Thank you so much for this video, I feel as if I were in those times. 🙂👍
When the older brother showed up for this younger brother it felt so sweet , he came home for Christmas. It reminds me of my older brother I’m thankful for my 5 siblings ❤
Watching the Christmas cereal commercials makes me miss the cool sweepstakes and prizes you could get in the 90s. I remember one from Kellogg's cereal during the SNES era when the grand prize included a SNES console and every game made up to that point. I remember one from the N64 era, there were these promotional order forms in the cereal aisles with Mario 64 characters on it. You could win an N64 console with Mario and Mario Kart 64, or order a N64 t-shirt &/or hat.
Legit love the SNES in the border of the video. I remember going to my grandmother‘s house and all of us cousins would sit around playing video games waiting for Christmas dinner. Thank you for adding that!
I celebrate Hanukkah but video games were also part of my family. My mom, my brothers, and I used to play nes and snes together during Hanukkah and then we would make a mad dash for the presents after we lit the candle s for Hanukkah. Truly a happy time as gamers and family. I truly miss the 90s and the good times
The Christmas Crunch is a nice touch as well. The oldest of two sisters. Had NES, Snes, Seg, N64 back then. Fights over what to play. Putting that cereal in a Ziplock bag to tide over before dinner. Complaining that it was not enough and sticky controllers. Even our dad would play a few as well. Yes, good times indeed
A list of our favorite commercials with time stamps: 10:55 - Home Alone 15:43 - Nintendo 64 20:14 - Trix 31:26 - Campbell’s 49:17 - Pillsbury sugar cookies 45:40 - M&Ms commercial 55:26 - Gap 1:05:56 - Coke 1:42:02 - Toon Disney 2:00:42 - McDonald’s 2:12:55 - Sega Genesis 2:43:15 - Charlie Brown Christmas Mac and Cheese 2:52:43 - Blockbuster
Christmas then compared to now, there was no phones, tablets, or any technology like there is now. Christmas then was all about family and happiness. There's times I wish I could go back to a simpler time when holidays actually meant something. Unfortunately now all I see is another day just like any other. 😢
I find it funny the M&M commercial from 1997 is still being played in 2023 and you can even see the time stamp in it saying 97. I remember when fast food had glasses and cups and toys, now you just get dysentery from Arbys, not holiday glasses.
The Fast Food Christmas Commercials are definitely a key selling point when shopping for gifts for Family and friends. After you worked up an Appetite you need a warm hot fast meal to fill up on. For your on the go shopping.
I'm going to go on a limb, if it's ok: I was born in Seattle in 1973. I REALLY wish I could find a Christmas jingle, that was used as background music for a Taco TIME commercial in late 1989 (NOT Taco Bell, Taco TIME). And, it was also used for an International Jewelers Christmas commercial at the end of 1998, and the commercial starts by saying, "Jingle Bell....Rock!" It starts with about 15 "plinks" possibly a high piano key. If anybody has any idea, please let me know!
Thank you! I've never heard it sang as a "Christmas song" like Jingle Bells or Silver Bells. But, that it's been on at least two Christmas commercials, tells me that it is a legit Christmas jingle! If anybody even finds videos of different and various "Christmas jingles," I'd love to try to find it on those! Christmas music is so awesome!!

Back when commercials had heart! We need these times to return now more than ever.
Agreed!
Agreed! No social engineering, just celebrating the season and selling products.
Ummmm they wont
Yes the commercials seemed to encourage us to be happy. I miss that!

@@HelpdeskHonky we definitely agree!
Bare minimum now it’s actually sad I’m sad for my kids they will never experience the magical childhood I had everything is tablets and bare minimum
80's and 90's will always and forever be the best era's in America. We need those era's more than ever today.

I too believe the 90s was the best era in the US. I miss it so much.

@youcancallmeKIRK so you love a company that now allows grown men dressed as women to use the bathroom with your daughter?
@@youcancallmeKIRK Don't love the company. Love the person who made the commercial. They probably got laid off decades ago.
Watching these commercials, is like being away from home for 30 years.
Truth…
I've never heard it put that way, that's deep. Nailed it perfectly.
Yeah, like we're one of those kids that just walks out of the forest after what seems like 30 years, only to realise it was just a dream and everyone is at home just as we left them
Perfect video to fall asleep with like we use to do.
Don't forget the hot chocolate!

Pretty much….
Take me back please.

Holiday ads today just don’t give me the same comforting warm feeling as these did, or earlier than these in the 80’s. 😢
Agreed!
It’s almost that time again! Even though I was born in 06 I will forever love the 80s and early 90s.
It was magical!

US too!
And back in the 90's Hallmark always hit hard with their commercials.
Every time I watch old commercials it makes me loathe fake mobile game ads even more. 😂
you know the commercial company did something right when you remember jingles like the coke cola xmas commercial 30+ years later

Grandpa in the hallmark commercial was in Home Alone

They putted so much effort back then … and now they using Ai ☹️
Why not just have it full screen? I would definitely subscribe and watch if this stuff wasn't so small like that.
why complain? the background is representing the time era too and makes it even better imo.
A lot of the video were at such small resolution, that they look pretty rough much bigger. But glad you enjoy it!
