Love when a comedian is so good they can steer a conversation into their material and make it seem natural. Gaffigan is one of the best. Saw Sinbad at a comedy club about 2 years ago, and he was the same way. He'd get a conversation going with people in the audience and turn it into a full on comedy routine, seemingly no matter what they wanted to talk about.

I love Gaffigan. People see these comics like CK and Carlin and think the key is in vulgarity. And yet here is a guy at a similar level of brilliance doing it without cursing or being overly lewd once the entire special. Kudos to you, sir.

A lot of interviews are like that. They usually set up their conversations, and oftentimes talk show hosts cue when a "conversation" will start.

Eric Rathbun Yeah. Not sure where people get the impression that comedians don't reuse jokes... especially while touring or doing interviews. It's incredibly stressful to write an entire sketch every week.
