I also started reading again a year ago and it’s always calming me down and is the balance to the stress at work and in my life in general. I also started my own health journey. I gained 15 kilos and I know this might not be such a big deal for others which gained much more weight, but I also decided I want to change and feel better. My main goal isn’t to lose weight, it is to be a healthier version of me, to life a healthy life and feel good and confident in my body, to actually enjoy life. I already lost a few kilos, switched unhealthy meals with good ones and started going to the gym and am already feeling so much better. Reading is also a big part of my life right now 😊 Did you read Fourth Wing? I highly recommend it! It was the book that got me into reading again. I also listened to throne of glass through audible and the other series by Sarah j. Maas. I would love to hear you talking more about books, maybe you sharing what you read and how you liked it 😊 Greetings from Germany ❤
YEah, I started reading way more years ago to get over the woman that ruined my life. Didn't work. Still doesn't work 7 years later. But as a nuclear engineer I read and write all freaking day, so reading for leisure has been challenging to commit to.
I absolutely relate to you; books got me through all of the dark times in my life. It gave me so much of hope and a sense of feeling like I am not completely alone in facing the problems that I have. Some of my favourite books are The Lockwood & co series, Hunger Games (ofc), Six of Crows, Piranesi and In The Shadow of the Banyan :D
I actually started 'reading' with audiobooks while going on walks, quite recently. I've already made it through 5 books, and 2 novellas. It actually like... gives me something to do, a reason for going for a walk and makes it enjoyable. And I also lose weight and get more healthy, and have someone read me a story so its a win win. I also got an ebook/eink/ereader or whatever its called. While I love books just the form factor makes it a little easier for me and I can make the font the size I want it to be for eyeballs. I do find that, about reading, when I get comfortable, I zone in, and its almost like a wear way of feeling and seeing it but not? Like an enveloping type of experience. Though oddly enough, with audiobooks I actually have a better time concentrating on what I'm doing when I'm walking AND listening to the story better than when I just read. Probably some ADHD thing going on there but yeah. Twilight lol, nice. Sparkly vampires! Thanks for sharing Leslie! EDIT: Is that A Court of Silver Flames book a part of a series? Or is it a thicc boi because its like an omnibus of all them together as one? Like do I have to read other ones to get to that one? Is there a best place to start with it, if so? EDIT #2: Apparently I already own the Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition digitally :O... guess I better got on that :P. The synopsis sounds freaking slick!
Thank you for the comment! Audio books are incredible, I have also read so much because of them. Such a great way to be active and get reading in, I love it! Glad to hear you do the same. And Silver Flames is the fifth book I believe in the ACOTAR series. It's incredible but you do need to read the others. Happy reading!!
Brandon Sanderson, try the King Killer Chronicle first. It’s the best one imo. You might enjoy Jennifer Saint’s books: ‘Elektra’ & ‘Atalanta’. One book that shook me this year and left me bereft, an absolute must read: ‘A Little Life’ by Hanya Yanagihara - exceptional. Matt Haigh’s ‘Midnight Library’ is great too!
Quite the transformation. I wish there were more women like you. You have it all. Brilliance, beauty, and you were still very attractive 50 kg ago, but you are a stone cold 10/10 fox now. Cheers.

Have you ever read the Bible? Or listened to scripture on audio books? History is His story is profoundly the most impeccable WORDS U will ever come across + the book of Enoch, book of Ezra, I prefer audiobooks as i had issues with seeing the WORDS...❤ In the beginning was the WORD...Wo is to slow down, & RD represents the Road We choose with the Power of the WORD...in the name of JESUS Family 🙏 Prayers ❤ Blessings
