Above the Time is a sequel to an old song of hers called You and I also featuring the same actor! There’s a video out there that explains the connection between You and I and Above the Time. You and I was written by one of her closest and favourite lyricist and she wanted to continue the story years later with herself as the lyricist for Above the Time. :)

The first time I heard IU was when I searched a song title from who was, at the time, my favorite artist. I listened to IUs song, which wasn’t actually a cover but a different song and was disappointed at first, but then noticed how beautifully she was singing and how the song itself was very good. I’ve been a fan ever since. The song I listened to is The Red Shoes. Anyway, this is, actually, my first time here and I subscribed. Not a big k-pop fan really, but I’ll check some of them out as well as, of course, IU.

MV director and composer of the song are also the same :) pls see You and I, it was a superhit back then in 2011 ... Ending Scene's actor, Kim Soohyun was (and is still) a very very popular actor in S.Korea. He's IU friend, they have acted in 2 dramas together, and he came as cameo in Hotel del Luna yoo. That MV is so ridiculously overpowered in term of star, lol.

The date on time machine was 31 dec 2019. And after almost 10 years later she released the mv of above the time. The girl is kindda stuck in time. They meet on a specific time (every time they meet she draws a clock on the boy's hand) but at last she didn't draw a clock instead she draw a blue rose. This is connected to blueming. I know my explanation s***s but i hope it will help you to understand the reason male usually check his wrist.
