Hi James, nice update and good statement at the end. I think all who are clear in mind should have enough, but most people are under a blanket of fear. So no hope in sight. Take care buddy.
Cheers, Jens. I'm glad someone actually watched it until the end. I'm so done with the whole thing. Now they have people freaked out here about rubber particles in one of the injectable solutions...and the possibility that they may have received faulty injections already. Never mind you are just as likely to die from a car crash or 3 times as likely to die from suicide. "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." F D Roosevelt
@@jvcpaints we do suicide in fear of death, sad one person over here. Also good is "fear is sitting in the living room, than it knocked on the door, when courage open it was gone" Take care my friend.
That’s a pretty cool model. You could also add a floor to the top. Maybe a thicker piece of plastic card or something. Try a car primer they would probably be cheaper. Like Halfords over here. About £7 or so a large can. Or graffiti paint that is pretty cheap and covers really well infact you might not need to prime. I have some acrylic graffiti paint it was £3.69 a can double or triple the size of your mr hobby.
Thanks for the compliment and adivice. Graffiti paint isn't really sold here. They have their semi-gloss black water resistant sprays everywhere and the black car primer paint was wayyyy too thick. I might just go back to airbrushing flat black once the weather gets better.
Now that's the stuff! The Reichstag is MASSIVE! I can only imagine what the 1/72 figures look like next to it. Thanks for the progress update. Looking awesome!
Oh yeah, nice to see this project coming along, by your decription it sound like it's overall not too bad to put together. Looking forward to seeing it primed
It's huge! It would take about 1/3 of the table at the window end of the room for sure. The detailing is what I'm looking forward to at the moment. I'm not going to go full berlin house, but I'm going to try and make it look interesting.
Wow! That's massive. It is something great to have either as a dio or for tabletop. Nice job done up to this point. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Cheers, Bill. It was my first large scale MDF kit. If I were to do it again, I might think about getting some 3d printed furniture or light fixtures to jazz it up. Give my best to your pups!
It is the GI Joe aircraft carrier of wargaming. It's a year long project on its own. I'm only a 1/4 of the way there with it. Lots of detailing to do and then figure out who to base and store it.
Hell yeah! this is the money shot!! ive been dying to see this update vid for the berlin project. Ive been tempted then went in a different direction from the Reichstag..now im tempted again with that 1/56 size comparison you showed..seems a really good size for wargaming without being crazy. Great work!! cant wait to see the end result! Regards, Dan
It's huge. It will take a good 1/3 of a 4x6 table easily. I'm hoping to do some interior work and then figure out how to base it/store it. I want to see if I can pull off a cratered lawn, but I don't know. It might be too much. Good luck on those Berlin houses. Nice find on the extra floor. If you're going to do the wall paper thing, put the wall paper on the walls before assembly. way easier. less grief.
Thank you for sharing. This model is part of my pile of shame. I have found that Sarissa precision does a good job. Will look out for the tight fit. Same weather here in Hill County Texas up till tonight. Finally cooled off. 1/72 is technically 25mm. 1/64 is 28mm. 1/56 is 32mm. My experience with the MDF makers is that what they call 20mm is really 24ish mm. What they call 28mm is really 30ish mm. I am doing 1/72 for the price and selection. Tons of die cast and pre-made that gets you on the table quickly too.
It's an OK kit and I'm not an MDF wiz by any stretch of the imagination. For me, I went at my pace and did the project in small chunks of like 3 hours or so. I don't think I could sit down and just hammer this out in a day. It's got a different feel with the 1/72 down next to it. Still works well and will be a dominating piece of terrain. Making rules to go with it will be fun too.
Thanks. A lot of the sprays here are water resistant...OK the cheap sprays I should say. I'm going to give the airbrush spray a go and see how it goes. The little jar was about $4...GBP 3.5 maybe. Going to give it a go and see what happens.
Everyone has had enough and is totally over it. Here, vaccinated or not, no one really cars anymore except a real small fanatical group of fear-porn addicts. Last weekend everyone was out doing shit.
Thanks. You changed your name. Nice. Bullet holes would be nice but there might be too much fuzz coming out of the mdf holes. I'll think of something to make it grim and wartorn.
Hi James, great video as always! When do we get to see your beautiful face again in one of your videos? I'm afraid i have a crush on you. Love from Greece
Your Christmas card was sent back just yesterday. lol. Unreal. It made it to Greece, even to your town, but I guess someone had to go on their 5 hour lunch break. I'm keeping my face of of the videos in case you try to deepfake it into something in your terabyte collection of cartoons. lol.

Looks very nice , perfect for Bolt Action...
Thanks, Phil. Yes, my mates and I are already thinking of scenarios and ways to do a final assault game.
Fantastic looking set! I love Sarissa's products. Their stuff is so easy to put together and paint.
Thanks Vic. I had a few problems with some of the smaller pieces, but it did snap tight in most instances.

The 1/72 guys are so tiny next to it. The building could be the whole board it is that big. Hopefully the detailing will go well too.

That's a very impressive Building, looking forward to seeing it finished 👍👍
Thank you. I'm still a newb at MDF, but I think I pulled it off. I think most of the mistakes will go unnoticed...at least I hope. lol
Cool update. Buildings look great. Nice detail for wargame scenery. Happy hobbying.

Great update James and a massive wellcom back to your mojo, all the best, Garry
Thanks Garry.
Once again great video !! Now i want one of those sets !!
Thanks, man. It's a beast. There are minis too, but I gave them away. Hopefully when it's finished, it will look the business.
That's a great looking kit James, and will look brilliant when you get it finished
Thanks, Sean. I'm really looking forward to working on it now that my block is gone and the mojo is back.
Great progress James. Lots of work put in.
Thanks, Beccas.
Good to see the project progressing James there is a lot of work involved . Regards Gav.
Thanks, Gav. It took me forever in a day to get motivated to finish building it, but there is still a good 75% of work left on it.
That thing is awesome, it will be impressive on the table.

@@jvcpaints great tip mate, thanks! cant wait to see what you are doing with that Berlin set -up...ours is elsewhere in the city.....!!
That does look like a nice kit
Cheers, Leon. I'm really looking forward to letting my mates duke it out over it while GMing and managing the beer supplies.
Looks great
Thanks very much!
Looks massive mate, but it's looking good
Thanks very much Justin.

Great ending to the video! I’m done with the china flu too. Just getting on with life and ignoring the doom mongers.

@@jvcpaints yep same here pal. Best way to beat, switch off the TV.
Ammo titan primer is nice, like 10 euro, and 500 ml can spray. Nice building looks imposing, now you have to full it of bullets.

I thought you forgot about this kit. Cool seeing someting done with it. LOL Hitler. Ya gotta make his dog too.
I've been waiting for the time and temperature to be right. I should get to priming it soon...hopefully.
