The character growth between these two was very subtle and yet impressionable. I actually love the fact that they fought together and grew together, in both strength and characterization. The cherry on top is her realizing that she can feel love in both Family ties and beyond.

Personally, I'd like there be something like how Ryu just got, where they're both in a situation together for character development and stuff. Ais just feels too detached from Bell at this point; yeah she smiles a bit when they talk after sparring, but feeling love that ain't. Especially when we're given the gems from this season with Ryu.
Show me Ais has feelings for Bell, like the other girls, or he deserves Ryu in my eyes.

Anyone who has seen this 4th season knows that Bell is forced to stay with Ryuu, simply one of the greatest romances in anime and the BEST in anime.
I didn't think Ryu could ever act this shy and cute. And she really looks beautiful 🥰🥰

Seriously... after what they went through together and how they act with eachother it's hard to support any of the other girls at all. Like yeah Bell saved each girl before her in one way or another, but with this Bell became something entirely different and special for Ryuu and she can actually stand next to him as a true equal as well as still supporting him and helping him grow stronger. Even before she was a clear pairing she always had his back and helped him whenever she could without it being motivated by infatuation. Ryuu has managed to steal the position of my favorite female character in anime after over a decade of Nel reigning supreme.
Whole season was in the dungeon but then we get to this ep and it's amazing ryu is adorable love her so much

This anime is called "Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon" and in the original language version "Danmachi". The clips are from season 4 of the last episode (episode 22). Anime as for me 10/10, worth watching, it is based on light novels and also has its adaptation in the form of manga. In short, the story is about a boy Bell Cranel who fights in a dungeon, over time he meets new later companions (including a girl named Ryuu who is on this clip)
that's the reason why I'm a bit strange to see it, I'm only on episode 14 s4

Out of all the girls Ryu is the most deserving of a normal life, a romance, a happy ending. It will never happen with Bell, due to Bell's love of Ais and the Author's own will. But she's the best girl imo.
Everything she went through, yet still survived and became a strong, powerful warrior in her own right. Becoming a powerful ally to the Hestia Familia, even though her presence in the dungeon or in the Guild War vs Apollo Familia could've been a death sentence... She - as a High Elf - also uses WELF CROZO Magic Swords against their fortress.
*A GREAT TABOO FOR ELVES.*
The S2 anime didn't show it well, but ancestor CROZO Magic Swords are the swords that DECIMATED the Elves population during a great war in the age before the god's descent/Orario/the dungeon... That's why the Elves in the Apollo Familia were so angry at being attacked by an unknown Elf wielding Magic Swords.
And she becomes a protector and a then a mentor to Bell in the dungeon while in the Deep Floors, all while dealing with her own mental state. That is, until his insane growth skill catches his skills up to and then surpassing her own while they are trapped there. Allowing him at Lvl 4 to severely damage a monster built to ONE TAP ANY AND EVERY adventurer on that entire floor. A monster that was one-hit killing Lvl 5's and Lvl 6's. And Ryu FINALLY GETS VENGENCE and peace.
And this is perhaps the largest effect on Bell's growth outside of his trying to catch up to Ais.
My man forgetting it was actually Ryu who killed that monster in the dungeon, which makes perfect sense since it was justice for the Astraea family.

Uhh which lvl 5s and 6s are u talking about again? All the adventurers the Juggernaut killed were lvl 2 or lvl 3 at best. Even the Astrea Familia members were all lvl 3s and 4s, and they faced a Juggernaut way stronger than the one Bell and Ryu faced..

If its the former then yes, there are multiple level 5s and 6s in Orario, mostly belonging to Loki and Freya familias, along with Hephaistos, Ganesha, the former Ishtar and Ikelos familias (as far as we know). And if you are talking about the latter then no, there are literally no level 5s or 6s in Livira. Even the leader of Livira, Bors (the guy with an eyepatch who led the adventurers from Livira to chase after Ryu), is only level 3. Idk from where did u learn that there were level 5s and 6s in that party, but in Danmachi, level 5s and 6s, or first class adventurers in general are considered monsters. The difference between level 4 and level 5 is way more than just a single level. If you've read the LN and are caught up to the latest volume (volume 18) then you'll understand what I'm talking about. And I can assure you that any of the level 6s that have been introduced in the series so far can solo the Juggernaut that Bell and Ryu fought WITHOUT BREAKING A SWEAT

I love her gap moe to say, they pull it off super well to. When you first meet her, vs when she's running at the end there hardly looks like the same character, and I love it. She looks like a completely different person when she's happy/in love, and it almost makes you happy to see it.
I called it the moment I heard her voice. Never, and will probably never, read the manga- but as soon as I heard Ryus voice I thought: "Love interest. Why else would they give her more than a few lines?"
