In this video I will show you the full CNC machining process for the shown part.
You will see the first setup which include classic 3+2 axis work as well as 5x chamfer job.
Second Setup will be an easy setup with the same vise.
⚠️ Please do not mill / drill / cut aluminum dry! This is just for video reasons and will kill your tools and parts. ⚠️

00:04:55 part was most likely scrapped 😬. I love your videos👍🏻
Vielen Dank!
4:55 fail :D but great video, thanks
thank you ;) I decided to let the little suprise in the video as easter egg
@@BavariaCNC Very nice, we like to details like this :D The channel concept is so quality. Continue like this please ;) I am watching from Turkey.
@@mbatur35 I am working on the next one, so stay tuned 😎
Just wanted to let you know that you are my new favorite channel. Also, my PrintNC and I aren't jealous at all...
Thanks a lot, Brian! And you don't have to be jealous you have a wonderful machine too, I love those DIY projects!!!
Awesome content. I really enjoy watching your videos and appreciate all tooling and feeds and speeds info. Machining at these speeds is so satysfying! 1500 m/min chips flying like bullets from the gun!
Thank you :) but the chips flying in mm/min not m/min ;)
Sehr schön! Als Zerspanungs-Enthusiast (aus Bayern): herrlich.. :)
Beautiful !!!
Vielen Dank, Dominik!!
iMachining is Amazing!
Tolles Video. Macht weiter so.
Vielen Dank! Das nächste Video kommt bald!
So happy I found this channel today, your content is 1000% quality and so satisfying to watch. As a noob machinist its also amazing so see your tooling with feeds/speeds for every cut you make. I always wondered, do you film with the doors open? Seems like it would insanely messy!
Thank you!! Of course you should never run your machine with open doors ;) but I need to clean my whole shop after the video
Brilliant !
Vielen Dank!!
4:54 O_O
things happens :))
@@BavariaCNC We need to see a video of these things!
@@terrellbradshaw3504 I am collection the clips ;)
@@BavariaCNC Dope. Are you making notes on why they happened?
@@terrellbradshaw3504 thank you! it was my fault I am playing around with the PP and I made a mistake, it is fixed and in the last video you see the actual version of the PP with much better connecting moves.
Very nice thanks for sharing. Charles
Thank you, Charles!
Wow!
I love this 5:36
Nicely!!
yes this is a fantastic way to chamfer
Great video! I would like to know why you use so big diference of the sfm for two reamers. Thanks!
Gefällt mir!
Vielen Dank!
4:55
Awesome!
I’m going to send this video to all my machining friends, your videos deserve more views
Also, how long would a job like this usually take you to set up (I’m a learning machinist)
Thank you!! Time for tihis job, mhhh - The plain machine setup is 5 minutes as you just need to probe the the part there is nothing special. Then tool preset with is around 20 min. Programming is probably the longest part I dont know how long it tool as I did something else in between but lets say around an hour.
Does Solidcam have a feature dedicated to the 5 axis deburring seen in this video?
I realy like these video's the way its structured is realy nice :)
Thanks a lot! SolidCAM offers a function now, but this movement has been done with "classic" 5x simultaneous job
😍 great work! SUBRICED
Thank you!!!
Wow👌😍😍
thank you!!
Da hatt doch was bei 4:55 nicht gaze gepasst. Ansonsten super video. Daumen hoch.
Ja das war 2µm zu knapp :)
I Love Hermle
me too 👌
Werkzeug - Werkstück Kollision bei 4:55
Immer genug freifahren gell ,;)
Super Video!
👍🏻
Another great video! Can you explain what Vc, Fz Ae and Ap are? I know the other ones, but I have never seen these terms before.
Thank you! Depending on your region you use those or not ;) do Ap is depth of the cut Ae the radial. Fz is the feed per tooth per revolution. and Vc is the rotation speed of the tool on the outside diameter.
These are the common German terms for cutting speed, feed and such things.
@@BavariaCNC thanks so much!
@@jamescerven4400 you are welcome 🤗
@@Mis_ter_T These are terms we use here in the US as well.
Geile Videos.
Parting with a slitting saw works so much better than with an endmill and you also need much less raw material
I highly agree, Andrin! I love my slotting tools :))
Hello.
Newbie here 😆
Why part with the slit saw ?
You have flip the part anyway... So I don't get it...
Is it faster? Is that it?
Thank you,
Jorge
@@rdc02271 it's just that you don't have to mill the rest material away which safes u time
@@machiningmule5525 Thank you.
By the way, I have only seen this done on 5 axis machines.
Why is this technique not used more often on 3 axis machines?
4:55 ... i think that's a change of piece :D
What toolpath did you use for 5-axis chamfering?
5 axis curve toolpath?
in solidcam it is the basic 5x simultan Job with a projection as tool path.
@@BavariaCNC
Oh projection !
I use mastercam.
Mastercam has 5 axis projection,
I will try rommorw !
Have a nice weekend:-)
Thanks for sharing
4:54 there is an collision isn't it :D
but you cant see it in the next step 😇
man if I were you I would dig into the built in tool change macro to get rid of some of that wasted motion every tool change, the hop up in Z is pretty annoying >_
4:55 😯😯😯😯😯😯
@4:58 close call AND a lil' zip!
and then it magically disappears :))
Is it nx cam?
Its done in SolidCAM
Könntest du uns mal Zeigen wie du sowas Programmierst?

@@nielsklavers7312 true words
@@BavariaCNC Why do you say it is not a post error? It seems some of the movements have full retract in Z moves, while others use tcp linking moves, while some use nothing (no link, no retract). The post does not handle this for you? Or you have to tell it which type of linking move to use?
@@GRTLRS Normally I just use full Z retract, but I wanted to be fancy in the video and I used an option to tell how much Z travel I can use and well my suggestion of how much way I need was not that good :)
