    Next time a guy comes to your shop with an idea or drawing for a part that he thinks should be maybe $200, you show them this video to see what it takes to make his part and why one off parts will always be expensive.
    Good video Bavaria. only showing the important stuff that actually helps you.

    That's an awesome fixture and part! What kind of quantity do you have to make for these?

    • @BavariaCNC

      I do make those fixtures from a start of 10 pcs (i mean customer has to pay that) but here we had 400pcs so costs for it are not that big point

  • @Mabarz

    Awesome, can you tell me why you had to install the second zero point device and on top of that the fixture?
    Why not directly on the base zero point plate?

    • @hdfanboy
      @hdfanboy 3 года назад +5

      It would be purely for clearance. If he mounted the fixture plate directly to the base spindle clearance would become an issue. Adding the 2nd zero point device adds probably another 100mm off the table for extra clearance.

    • @BavariaCNC
      @BavariaCNC  3 года назад +3

      Steven explained it pretty good! it is all about clearance to the table, I wouldn’t need it for this job, but I made it my own standard always to use it.

  • @nickvantucci7326
    @nickvantucci7326 3 года назад +1

    Why did you have the face mill take off the hat around the perimeter of the part first? What material are you cutting?

    • @BavariaCNC
      @BavariaCNC  3 года назад

      those areas that are not connected to the part it self could easily cause damage to the tool / part if i mill them with the regular cut. So I take them away before it

    wieso spannt ihr die Platte nicht einfach hochkant in den Schraubstock? Dann brauchst man nur eine und kann in der Maschine auf und abspannen. Und bei der 5 Achs wäre es ja egal wie das Teil drin ist

    • @BavariaCNC
      @BavariaCNC  3 года назад

      ich komm jetzt nicht ganz mit. du willst das Teil hochkant einspannen? aber wie? Also damit du alles bearbeiten kannst, die Lage stimmt und das ganze nicht vibriert.

    • @tobiasbrechelmacher3296
      @tobiasbrechelmacher3296 3 года назад

      ich würde die gesamte Vorrichtung hochkant an der langen Seite in den Schraubstock spannen, damit Zugang zu dem Schrauben auf der Unterseite habe.
