I am working in the infrastructure industry and would really love to own a rugged smartphone like the recent Cubot phones you've reviewed. My job entails working in the field, where exposure to harsh environment or weather conditions as well as manual handling are common. There are times that the phone that I bring to work is accidentally dropped and breaks. I'm thinking of buying a rugged phone, but would also consider receiving a giveaway gift from you.❤

@@markpusko2480just to add some objectivity to this conversation I purchased the King Kong 5 about 2 years ago and didn't like it at all. Too buggy. Too many reasons to mention here, just to say that I really wanted to love that phone but couldn't. I'm hoping the Star changes my mind.
@@markpusko2480funny how people's perception changes on a phone manufacturer. I now own the Doogee S96 GT and think it's a fantastic phone.
How long these Cubot phones last before it's broken? If you have 4 phones the last 7 years, so maybe their average usage is only 2 years...

Good day sir hans. New subscriber here. I do like your reviews with rugged smartphones because yours are very detailed ones and can be easily understood. I am really planning to buy one, because honestly speaking I have lost mine a month ago, but thanks to a very good friend who let me borrow his old phone mean time. I am still looking for a good quality (yet not that too pricy 😅) among other brands out there. But when I have heard with Cubot brand I got really interested and started to make some research about such brand.or company and I find them very reliable. And yes, when I see this Kingkong Star I really wanted that so bad already. Though, I have to be patient enough until my budget will be enough as well to purchase one of that. However, if will be given a chance by you then I might save some of my budget. 😍 Thank you for your very informative videos. Looking forward for your other videos especially reviewing rugged phones. More power to you.

This is really interesting. The device does indeed look cool, much more appealing than many ruggered massive battery smartphones. The camera also looked good enough. Would amazing to get 15 days of no battery worries. Thanks for a cool vid Han

Truly this design is unique
Surprisingly for a rugged phone I didn't expect that it has a nice a camera and it also outperformed the Infinix Note 30 Pro when it comes to camera quality. The Huge Battery is also great and the design is very nice for a rugged phone. I never own a rugged phone before and If I'm Lucky to win this from you, it would be great ❤️

This has all features that I always wish for, everytime I'm on a solo trip.
I carry a transparent cover to protect my phone from rain, Days are long and I have to save battery, Always worried of dropping the phone which will mess up my trip badly, Cant take the phone into the waters thus missing all the fantastic pics, etc.
Basically these r the things that companies should improve. If u don't play games, u don't need more and more power. Just need ruggedness, Waterproofing and Battery.
Nice device. I am on a Cubot KK7 right now, so I can vouch for the toughness of these type of phone. Looking to switch to a 5G model, hen the interest in the KK Star. One question though. How do you think it compares to the Doogee V30 series?

The phone is very nice. And as to the review the specs are well explained. I wish to have that device soon.
My two bets for the next smartfone I choose are cubot kingkong and oukitel wp21 and after watching some reviews along with that one I am more inclined to choose cubot.

Rugged smartphones are actually for a certain type of people, this is not for everyone, I am not sure whether a rugged phone suits me or not but I am sure I love the design of this Cubot Kingkong Star

I am not sure why Cubot has released this, because Cubot Kingkong 9 is a better performer, I think this one exists because some people would like to get Cubot Kingkong 9 type of performance at a budget price, but I will appreciate if Han can do a detailed comparison
How do feel the king Kong 9 is better? The only thing this phone doesn't have is the 120hz refresh rate of the KK9. This phone has the higher antutu score + it's 5g.
Exactly prefer also the KingKong Star..The 5G is a very important feature..

It is a solid smartphone, I am satisfied with the display panel and back panel.
I noticed the metal protection on the back screen that is on the King Kong 9 is not on this King Kong Star so for me it's a no I prefer King Kong 9

I actually bought one before I saw the review. I want to know if I can keep the compass on permanently. Also it effects my games when the round panel is on sometimes. Any ideas?
For a while I had the King Kong 5 pro. For the money it was one of the best rugged smartphones I ever had. Currently I am running the BL 8800 blackview. It actually runs on the same processor but has a little smaller battery. Honestly I think I liked the King Kong 5 pro better in some aspects. So far blackview hasn't offered many updates. I am also not sure about the doke 3 OS add-on to the Android 11. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE GIVEN AWAY THE KING KONG STAR YET BUT I WOULD LOVE THE CHANCE TO BE THE LUCKY OWNER.

its all fine and good until u drop it and the back screen is broken. not that rugged i think.
king kong 9 is 4g and king kong star is 5g that's the only difference I'm living in jamaica and these phones are not in our stores that's why I'm asking if any of the two devices carries a radio,in all of the promo that is done no one mentions a radio if there's a radio please let us know

If only it was running on a better chipset. That's my only complaint. Doesn't have to be a Snapdragon, just better than the D700.
