    I have such respect for Adam Lambert, whom I believe is highly underrated and overlooked as one of the best vocalists of our time. Watching his performance here is like a Master class on proper tongue form. And Michael Orland's arrangement makes the original pale by comparison. What do YOU think of this performance? Keep those tongues 'flat and sassy', people...😂

      Thank you for this reaction! I really enjoyed it and you seem like a really good singer and vocal coach, I don't sing but as a med student I did appreciate the "plastic larynx" lol.. Also, I agree with everything you said😊 And can you beleive he did this the same day he flew in from London!

    • @MasiaDe
      @MasiaDe 5 лет назад +14

      I think I wanna say thanks! Yes, I agree currently one of the best, but many will disagree with us, sadly. Also if you don't mind can you react to his Come Bend to Me, Brigdoon at @22? It's amazing on what he can do for voice control. Don't worry- we fans notice his skill imo he has done actually about 400 shows (400 exactly this year but hasn't happened yet think 383 at the moment, but once he does the summer it's 400 with Queen and Solo tours in the past decade- and never seem to have a vocal problem, and never had a vocal issue- bridge control for eons. I think easily one of the most toured American artist perhaps of the decade (cause he has been around that long).. But I think honestly its his tenor tone that's off putting. So I think the tongue technique actually does make a difference in vocal stamina and avoid vocal damage. Also, his documentary in case your curious about his career will drop in April 29. Again thanks!

      YES!!!! I was raised in a medical family and am a total nerd for anatomy charts and medical grade plastic body models! Ha! Congratulations on being a med student! That is no small feat! I did NOT know he sang this way the same day he flew in from London. That. Is. Amazing! He is literally an elite vocal athlete in every way. I'm in awe. Love hearing from you. Thank you so very much for this lovely comment. Try to get some sleep when you can!

    • @TheVoiceLoveCo

      Oh my goodness! I didn't know he did Brigadoon! I would love to react to that. I'm amassing a list, so I will see what I can do. 😍I love your insight to his career and will definitely look for the documentary. I would love to know his daily routine and who his vocal coach is. There is so much gold to mine from what he is doing practically speaking. You are absolutely right to note his lack of vocal problems. You can't say that about other vocalists who started about the same time he did. What a nice comment to read today. You made my day. Thanks heaps!

    I disagree about Adam's slight 2 gasps of breaths at end.Maybe technically the mechanical thing to do, but I thought it gave an emotional reality that conveyed the meaning of the song exquisitely, not robotic perfection. He sang every note capturing the heart breaking essence, feeling every note to the max. Thanks for the review.

    Adam is very underrated. He's incredible. This makes me tear up every single dang time I watch/listen to it. It's so funny how he got hell on Idol about his tongue yet all vocal coaches praise it.

  • @ldyhawkem
    @ldyhawkem 5 лет назад +17

    This is, by far, one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard Adam sing and he does it so masterfully. He is, indeed, highly underrated. This has been interesting to watch, but I go to a different place when I hear Adam, and it is heaven to listen to him. The arrangement was spectacular and Adam was the perfect person to sing it. I love Cher, and I love the song and always have, but now it is an obsession and one I satisfy at least a couple times a week by listening all over again.

  • @kerryclark7233
    @kerryclark7233 5 лет назад +36

    "this arranger" is Adam himself. He performed this (his) arrangement of Believe at Hollywood Week in American Idol and it has been copied by many talent show contestants around the world since.

  • @judybus1

    I think he is the best male singer of our time. And yes for some reason he is so underrated. I stopped watching American Idol after he lost, there was and hasn't been anyone to compare to him since on any other show.

      Well, a lack of excessive autotune makes most things better. But Adam is impeccable, an artist in every sense of the word. He sculpts his voice like...like golden clay! (No not Aiken, gah, no!) Adam is mind blowing. I have been following him since (Although I can’t afford to see him live) and I have never seen him give a bad performance. EVER. And I come from a musical family, raised on musicals, parents taking me to see them live, my Sister taught choir and theater...so I notice glitches. Not as much as a Vocal Coach, of course, but more than average I think.
