The car was designed primarily by McLaren and Merc only provided the M155 V8, since the car was born out of the F1 program where all Merc did was be the engine supplier. McLaren did the construction and the gearbox. So it's more McLaren than Merc.

Amazing how they are still using the M159 even in newer contemporary Motorsport applications. Just goes to show what a true gem the 159 is, even above the hot side M177 type bi-turbo motors. That 159 and Hewland sequential gearbox is the secret sauce 👌🏼
The AMG GT Black Series is my dream. That brute force is what I love about AMG. I have one request. Never change that big V8 under the hood. Really I love the tech that makes driving more fun. With the new MBUX system these cars are gonna rock the roads

Hi Harshith, we would always say, trying a Mercedes-Benz is a good idea. 😉 the GLE is a wonderful model. It is bigger than the current one you have, so if you are not looking for an SUV then we recommend an E-Class. 😃 But you are always welcome to take 'em all for a test drive. Where are you from? Then we can send you the contact information of your nearest dealership.
@@MercedesBenz i live in india(Gurgaon). In December 2020 i went for a test drive of gle 300d and the drive quality was amazing 🤩. T n T Mercedes. This time i don’t want to buy a sedan as the roads in india are pretty bad. At the same time i have a 2009 Volvo XC90 v8(4.4L), So if sell my xc90 and 5 series then it will be good ig.
I also took a test drive of x5 30d and that felt way more powerful compared to gle 300d. But the problem comes is I have owned bmw 330i(2007), x4(2014) and 520d(2018) and now my wife hates to sit in a beemer. Do you think spending some extra cash 💵 and getting gle 400d would be better?
