Love the idea of themed months over themed days and of working on them in chunks. I feel like I’m constantly trying to reinvent the wheel and figure out a system that allows progress on pieces but also is open to interpretation
You are so right, my system morphs every few months. Flexibility seems key... but mostly I aim for what helps me continue to feel creative and happy. Keep trying different ways, and you will find what works for you. 😊
I was so happy to find a new video of yours ready to watch when we came back from our vacation. After a very, very difficult, and adventurous, (not the good kind), plane trip it was very soothing to watch your video. Also, I have now the Garden Sampler, and The Shores of Hawk Run Hollow, on my "to stitch" list. Btw Madam Mim is one of my favorite Disney Characters. OK I have to say that again. BUT I am stitching to Chatelaine Wednesday, Fancy Lady Friday, Sewing Saturday (quilts!) and SALs on Sundays. It so kinda Stitch what I want Monday, Tuesday and Thursday but Autumn themed. New Subbie here, I love how you changed the dragon colours to match Madame Mimm so cute!! Santa is gorgeous, I've not seen quilts on the dockside before its really nice. I love how organised you are, at the moment I'm just stitching on what takes my fancy but try to do a min of 500 stitches on a project before I move on. Hoping when I get back into the full swing of stitching I can be a bit more organised.

I LOVE all of your ocean pieces and I’m so grateful to add a couple to my “wish list” - which is so long now I’ll need to live to be 100!! 🤭 Thanks for sharing your plan for stitching. I am trying to establish one that works well for me. But, it seems, I plan and God laughs! Thinking flexibility first. Then, perhaps just a handful of projects on my plate - a small and a medium (seasonal), a sampler, and a smaller full coverage (something I LOVE). I’ve been stitching for about eighteen months following a long hiatus and I find I want to stitch everything. Which is ridiculous, of course - but . . . Be well and keep these great videos coming. 🥰

Pirates of the Caribbean marathon needs to be done in my house, its been so long! I love to read, only problem is I can't put a book down. I have to finish it. Nothing else gets done. So I am saving those days for when I can no longer quilt or stitch.
Mad Madam Mim was literally one of my all time favorite Disney Characters ever, my husband and I were talking about the Sword and the Stone there other day and some other highly underrated Disney cartoons, and that chubby Dragon is just OUTSTANDING! It’s like finding buried treasure, and the proprietors are ALWAYS so friendly and helpful in my experience. Also, have you seen the movie “Message In a Bottle” (Kevin Costner and Paul Newman). You said that you ordered in 2021 from Nitka. I tried to find this and found out that Nitka has the exclusive rights to this pattern. As of 2022, there is a financial embargo on Russian businesses, which they mention on their site. Since I support the embargo, I will pass on it for now. I found a quick and easy way to secure the raw edges of my fabric. There is a new Fray Check which includes a fabric guide applicator - it makes a very slim clear seal!

What a great idea to kit up stitching for migraine days. Needle and thread moving through fabric is so soothing it’s a shame to miss it when my head is splitting. If you could please, what is the name of the full coverage of the sleeping girl in a field of flowers? I keep thinking it’s too big but then again I can’t stop thinking about it😊 Oh yes. Thank you for showing window in the garden. I started it last month - love the colors and different ideas about half stitches.
I have found that I get more progress over consecutive days because I don’t have to reorient myself to symbols, I remember what I was doing from the day before and my thoughts are clear about number of threads and everything is all hooped up and ready to go. Changing projects takes a little time to get going again.

I unfortunately do not know the fabric color on Stargazer. I purchased the fabric over ten years ago and it never had a tag that I can remember. It is a nice solid though, perhaps a Zweigart? A lovely warm, gold. I am sorry I can't be more helpful on that.

Talk about beading, please. Do you leave the space empty or put a bead over a stitch you have already stitched? How do secure the bead on the back? Run a long thread from bead to bead? You can tell you have a novice here.
I am pretty new to it as well... but I leave empty spaces for the beads. I used a full cross stitch to secure the bead and then crossed to the next space. In a lot of ways it is just cross stitching.... with a bead on your floss. @fiberartsamy has a great episode where she shows how she beads a Mira. It was very helpful. 😊
What is the pattern of that adorable cranky owl in the blue/green picture frame? I think my mom needs that in her life. She is obsessed with owls and giraffes.
That cranky owl (I'll never think of her another way now 😂) Is called "Aquamarine Owl" and was an Etsy purchase, I am fairly sure. I was gifted the pattern by my sister... so I am not confident it is still available. I hope you can find it for your Mom!! 😊

Now I will not be able to un-see it I have the Barbara Ann seasonal ladies I need to start that. I love that you schedule stitch days. I do a ten day rotation. It works for me. I totally see the Sword and the stone dragon. Now I will not be able to un-see it I have the Barbara Ann seasonal ladies I need to start that. May be one of the NYE 12x12 starts.. this is my second watch through because the first time I was on my TV and I can’t comment that way so I save the video and before you bring out your next one I wanted to comment.
