Kudos to Kayla! Brian with all she does with the kids and all and still is able to support you in preparing/delivering meals, helping with equipment and being the shuttle bus driver in the fields, it is truly amazing what farming wives around the world do in a day. Well done Kayla!
Great awesome video Brian , bj , bob , my heart goes out to Chet and family, hardest thing to ever go too , I went threw it my self years ago , Larson’s are the greatest family, nice friends, very hard to go threw. The RUclips community comes together for this tragic time . Cancer is the worst thing , it’s not forgiving. God bless Chet snd his family!
Sending prayers to the Larson family 🙏, that's so sad, way too young, god bless them, I'm so sad for Chet they're like family, and thank you Brian for letting us know
Yes I will add them to my prayers as your mom also. So,do you think you're your planter enough that you won't be upgrading soon? Some times when to many moving parts are together on one implement it isn't a good thing. But it is better than the days when I was young. This is GSM have changed immensely. Always good to have a ride a long lunch date. Keeps the family closer in the busy times of planting, and harvest.
Glad you got your planting done...was so sad to hear about Chet Larson’s wife passing away...she seemed like she was doing much better in her last video...cancer is a terrible thing...!
Yes cancer is hard my 10 year old has cancer and it hard on us and I know how he feel because I lost my mom to cancer my prayers and thoughts are with them thank you for what y’all do please keep it up
I have been watching other farmers video’s, they all roll the ground after planting. Back in day in Ohio we use a Brillion cultipacker behind the drag or field cultivator..Made a great seat bed.
Finally got the opportunity to get back home to see family and friends after 2.5 years. Got some tractor driving in, farming fix satisfied for the moment,,, LOL... Bit of a late season in North Central IN, most are just finishing up this week, got dad done yesterday.
Sorry to here about the Larsons loss. She in a better place an cancer free. Also the 700 monitor is a joke. Too many people have trouble too. 600 is better. Like the videos, enjoy them. Be safe.
Brian nice to see things are narrowing down to the end of planting season. The videos were excellent. Enjoyed them all. Keep the action coming. I'll seeya at the next one. Always be safe!!
You know Brian, no matter how frustrating the Case IH planter can be..........it does have a custom coffee mug holder on the end row. Big selling point!! You can't get that just anywhere you know?😂🤣👍
We got along good with our 1240 this year put all new metal on it over the winter I do like it honestly I had concerns about it but was surprised and we have very nice looking stand of corn and beans
your problem with folding the seed drill together, try changing the hydraulic coupling on the hose and see if it might help. they can go a long way and make all sorts of problems.I hope in the last sowed in time and thanks for the good informative videos. many thanks from denmark
Brian, I wonder if you have a valve issue with that single acting cylinder. It seems that there may be a return issue. Have you tried shutting off all the hydraulics except for the ones that control folding? Also try reducing flow when trying to initiate the fold as if you have a return restriction or too much flow in the same line, it could be that the spring return may not be able to force it open.
Brian I have a 1240 planter in 16/31 configuration. As you know it’s heavy. I am curious about your wing wheels. Do they carry a lot of load on the ends? Do they turn well on the ends with the planter or do they tend to scoot sideways? Thanks
About as dependable as a Ford, my powerstroke diesels were more dependable than any GM product I owned. Brand new GM truck in the 80s, did all services, took it back to dealer at about 30,000. Kept it at the dealer for over a week, kept having problem with it running rough as Cobb. After 40,000 it started to die at idle. Took it to our mechanic, he actually pulled me into shop. Asked him what was wrong with it, points to a pile of camshafts in corner of shop. He tells me to go take a close look, no lobes on cams. Cost me about a $1000,00 on a two year old truck. Bought Ford after that. They have issues, but nothing like GM.
Brian I use a cultipacker over my beans but we are convential till and drill them in 15" rows helps alot with the combine but you guys with minium till or no till you may not need to do it 🤷
There’s a land roller u can rent close to you...it’s a rite way roller and they are in Iowa at custom made products... nice people who will get u a roller to use...
With the rocks you have on some fields and the gravelly soils I would have thought land rollers would be popular, I don't have much for rock and no gravel but smooths the ground so a flex head works much better, And I think we get 30 pound or more to the acre. Not to mention less sickle section and guard damage!
@@BriansFarmingVideos That's what my brother in-law does and and they use it on every soybean acre, If I was him I would use it on every acre, They pickup the occasional rock when combining wheat, Most of the time the rock trap does it's job but why trust it , it only takes one .. I'm able to rent one for $3.00 per acre or can hire for $5.50.
hey!!! 12:41 ''brothers'' machine out there on on the tiles fields with that TURBOTILL seemed to have BETTER LIGHTING than BRIAN's bean planting traktor??? was that just cuz of DIRTY WINDERZ??? or does it have newer LED package and BRIANS machine hadn't been UPGRADED & UPDATED YET???
Been running a 2140 for 3 years and never had to bleed hydraulic lines to fold. I also don't understand the hate on the Pro700. I can go days without hearing anything alarm wise.
It’s not the alarm. When my sensors are clean it’s pretty quiet I don’t like it for planting. It’s not terrible especially if using climate but if your not it’s a pain to variety track and the lack of population map makes me not like it
Hey Brian has case contacted u yet about wanting u to demo a new planter next year? 😉😉😉😉 then u could do a comparison vid the new shiny one v’s the version that doesn’t want to work lol 😂
So sad to hear the sad news about Nicole Larson... 😔 But I wonder, can this ”farming community” come together for a livefeed? And all superchats an superstickers will be donated in Nicole’s name to cancer research? Please, don’t forget to support Andy Detwiler, aka Harmless Farmer, in his strugge with cancer.
Brian I just don’t understand corporate America as much trouble as you had with that case international planner and as much as you videoed it and put it on RUclips it’s amazing to me that the local case dealer or case international them sales hasn’t contacted you to get that planter fixed I just don’t believe that that’s the only planner that is doing that I bet you they have seen this before and they know exactly what’s causing it because all it’s doing is making people not want to buy a case International products piss poor service it’s just sad because I don’t think it’s that much wrong with that plan or is this something ain’t quite right and it needs to be fixed and trying to find somebody that has to get up and go to fix it is the big thing Grace and peace Brian
Really enjoy your channel. We have a 2140 and it’s done well so far. Just an observation but do you think the gauge wheels need to be closer to disk? Ours have 2 washers on cotter pin side and we’ve had no issues with disk. May not be the issue. Idk.
Hey guys keep the Larson’s in your prayers as they go though some very tough times.
Just very sad news
Whats up at the Larsons I love their channel
Very sad news
🙏🙏🙏🙏for Chet and the rest of the Larson family can only imagine what they are feeling right now

You should talk, zach and he might be able to help get Brown Farms a Mendeako roller " test" 👍🐶

There’s a part # break for the opener , had same problem case has changed the hub now and we rebuild planter and have had no issues
The part that burns me up about Case IH is, they will have any awesome idea, and use subpar manufacturing of that awesome idea.
Land rollers are standard equipment in most areas in Canada
1 year I spilt some beans in back of my truck. Had a nice stand of beans started when cleaned truck box out.
Hey hey hey! Watch the Ford insults! LOL

I’m with ya on that one. I’ve never seen one person in west central Ohio using a roller, other than their yards

Run the turbo till behind chisel plow. A do all would be ideal behind the chisel plow.

BJ went from stripper to stick picker 😆
Well he sure knows how to get the right crew for the job...awesome help.
Yeah, turns out I didn’t do well with tips. 🤣
Hey Brian, did that planter push that tractor around much? Was the tractor weighted up much? Just bought one
Crazy I've never had a problem with the openers 4 years never changed one
I ran a 1240 for seven seasons and only put new openers on on time. Not sure why this one is different
Could you install a ball valve with pressure releaf in line with your sticking pin? May save a little time.
Hopefully you can “upgrade” that planter before next year.
