You are cappin hard af. Their zords are aesthetically the worst of all of Super Sentai - at least those that were adpated into PR anyways. I've seen all of American series and these are by far the worst
I gotta love how there seems to be storage for every unused piece of zord. The tiger head always has a nice place to slot into when it isn't being used as a head or a hat
Something about Daikai-Oh which I think is pretty neat is that that face changes with each mode. The design of the face reflects the weapon it uses. For Minami, there's two blades on it's face. For Nishi, it's a shield for a visor. With Kita, it looks like lightning shocks. It's pretty neat.
Just goes to show the difference in quality between the original sentai toys and the power rangers versions. I got both the samurai megazord and the beetle zord, and not only was the combination of the two inaccurate to the show, but the standalone components of the regular megazord aside from the turtle couldn't even turn into their shape modes, which is something they did a lot in the show and something the original sentai toy could do.
Let's not pretend Bandai of America made _no_ attempts at improvements; proportionally, the Megazord looks a lot better and more show-accurate, namely in the torso and legs. And honestly, I kind of think using part of the Beetle as a shield is really cool (arguably better than a backpack so heavy you need an extra piece to hold the mecha up), though it's missing the spinning head feature. And I say this having just bought some of the Sentai versions because they're epic.
Something that always pissed me off is that the Sentai toys are more accurate to the show than their Power Rangers counterparts. Like seriously, I feel like I got ripped off!
Kinda cool how Kyoryu Origami can act as both a member of the Mecha line-up and as a roleplay weapon which is something I don't think Sentai has done before or after Shinkenger
I used to have a Samurai Megazord back in Elementary school. it’s so Cool to have as a fan, But all the zords (Except Turtle) couldn’t fold into their Shapes and Dragon Zord isn’t like in the show. Now I wish I want the Shinkenger ShinkenOh
One of the very first sets I acquired in my collection and ultimately completed. Beautiful and visually pleasing figures I might say, some of the finest I own. Great video
I have no attachment to Power Rangers or Super Sentai in general, but I do have an appreciation for Japanese mecha toys that transform into all sorts of things, and combine into absurd abominations like this. Super Sentai is full of these kinds of amazing toys, right after the Brave series for me. There's a certain charm to these kinds of toys that you don't get in the West too often, even if the combinations start to get ridiculous after like the 10th figure is attached to an already absurd combined form that looks like it could barely move already haha. As a Transformers fan, I kinda wish Hasbro and TakaraTomy would dive back into the brand's mecha roots, and make toys like this again. The Japanese-only Generation 1 toys (The Headmasters through to Operation Combination) and the Unicron Trilogy/Micron Trilogy (Armada/Legends of the Microns, Energon/Super Link, and Cybertron/Galaxy Force) had a lot of cool toys that followed this kind of vibe, but it would still be cool to see it done again. I am aware that there might not be as many Transformers fans here watching this particular video (not sure how much overlap there is between the two brands), so a lot of this probably goes right over your heads, as does Power Rangers/Super Sentai for me lol. I'm just expressing my love for cool mecha toys, which I'm sure we can all at least agree on 😊
Right there with you boss man! Just had my Armada Optimus arrive a couple weeks ago 😁. Looks like we're getting more of the figures ur talking abt this upcoming yr too! I'm excited tho Hasbro is still a horrible company and I honestly wish I had the self control to not give them my money
I wish I had these growing up while watching the show these are more accurate than the American version of the Zords but I will say I like the American version of the Samaria megazord sword since it has details craved on it unlike the Japanese one which just looks a regular plastic sword
Does anyone know what that yellow piece is called that goes on the back of the megazord to support the weight of other zords?! I'd like to know as I'm thinking of buying this series of figures.
I believe it isn’t called anything, just a toy exclusive piece to help with stabilisation. It comes in one of the auxiliary mecha (Kabuto, Kajiki, Tora, Ika) however as I do not own them at the moment I unfortunately cannot be precise. Hope this helps!
I’m hoping to get all of these. I have Shinken-Oh. I got it when it was imported to the USA and sold at Toys R Us a long time ago. The Japanese versions look much better than what Bandai America gave us in 2011, especially with that gimmick they came up with that lasted all the way to Ninja Steel.
I've been wanting to watch more of the super sentai versions of a lot of the power rangers I grew up on, now these videos making me want the toys from Japan to

The Samurai Gigazord just looks horrendous my god. I applaud the toy designers for figured out how to cobble that monstrosity together but this is the worst to ever come out of SS imo
As something who's first exposure to Power Rangers was Samurai, I can safely say that this series had the best standalone Zord designs.
This was my first power rangers too and I never new these existed

A collection of power rangers megazords seems pretty cool even in my 20s

Bro I remember getting the orange dude for Christmas and I was so dam happy bro cuz I could finally combine it with my regular samurai megazord
Samurai sentai shinkenger came out when I was just 9 years old and i was 11 years old when power rangers samurai premiered
Something I just realized... why does the shark zord have legs?
originally it is a trex sword (saban changed that to shark), that's why it has legs
You missed one piece when combining the ultrazord. The little tiger tail ring on the beetle zord's head.
Samurai sentai shinkenger was a wonderful super sentai series and also shinkenoh was phenomenal
Samurai and mega force will forever be my ogs
Samurai was one of the 4 main PW series I watch with thenither being Megaforece, Dino charge and ninja steel

so sad i can't find these anywhere anymore would love to have them in my collection

Awesome showcase all of them are awesome
thanks for the good memories
The Samurai Shark Gigazord is technically not an Ultrazord because the Lantern Zord is not included, and it isn't a mutually exclusive zord.
I remember watching this when I was 2
I've always loved the designs for the zords but I love how the more you add on the dumber it looks

Pity we never got a proper Daigoyo toy in the US.
That’s a cool MegaZord I need to get that one and all the other Zords 2
I might be biased, I LOVE SAMURAI also don't ask me why I like Japanese-based toy reviews even though I'm an American
