Seeing lots of criticism, much of it warranted, but it's not so unusual..we played like this in March against nonconference. Bullpen got blown up and our bats bailed us out. Also can we please give NJIT some credit? They played 8 solid innings of baseball.
The Pallette injury really hurts that but we did save our two best for later. Wicklander and Lockhart will be good to go and pretty much everyone else will be available... hopefully we get out of the regional unscathed and the Vermillion back for the supers
We play like this again against a decent D-1 School like Nebraska and we lose. Arkansas acted like we were playing against the Sacred Heart School for the Deaf and Blind. These teams are good and the name of the school shouldnt play into their mindset like its a cake walk!! Arkansas better wake up. 2 errors was also added to horrid pitching from these guys.
@@scotthowrey1 Time will tell. They might beat up Northeastern for all we know. Nebraska barely beat them as well. Florida lost. Oklahoma State lost. The key here is the Hogs didn't play well and still won. Something they have done all season.
Arkansas thought this was a freebie game and the pitching was crap! Bolden, Monke Coustiu show no consistency and look lost at times! Its time to man up!!
The real problem is DVH electing to play the afternoon yawn game that spread to the bullpen instead of the nightcap, where the atmosphere would have been electric and would have knocked NJIT for a loop. You're telling me a few hours matters that much?? Come on man.
Does Arkansas have any pitchers besides Kopps that can throw the ball over the plate consistently?? That was a horrid display of pitching from a team supposed to be the best team in the nation. Our bullpen is weak looking and if we play like this again against Nebraska or Northeastern we definitely lose!!

These guys looked like that if they just showed up to the ballpark NJIT would just lay down and give up! Better learn to throw the ball over the plate and show some movement. Kopps cant pitch every inning the entire time!! We need pitchers who can go 3-5 innings without falling apart and letting a team stay close like they did today. WAKE UP GUYS......you have to earn it!!!

Man we haven’t pitched consistently besides Kopps all year But we have won every series this season in the best conference in America they had a bad day probably did over look them a little but we won again like we have for the past 10 weeks they have grit they find away so don’t give up on them yet cuz of a hick up
Lesson learned here is you can’t just show up. No focus until they were forced to.

NJIT definitely showed up to play, just didn’t have the pitching they needed I feel. I see why they made the tournament for sure!
