I'd be interested to know the rationale behind the declaration that without the Fall, we'd have a monarchy. I'd expect a monarchy which was actually a theocracy, with the human part of the system being more similar to Moses's or Joshua's Israel than to David's Israel. The unfallen man would have a king, but that king would be Christ, not Adam.
You're right on the money. As Isaiah prophesies, the Messiah would restore the shofets. That's what born-again people should be living in now as a partial representation of the new covenant. Yeshua as king and then individual communities lead by elders (who are in the role of the shofets).
@@blanktrigger8863 Could you explain what you mean by 'shofet'? I find a variant on the American model to be the best option currently available, lacking in direct theocracy.
@@robertlewis6915 "Shofet" is the Hebrew word translated as "Judge", though that's a poor translation. You mentioned the structure of Israel from during the days of Moses and Joseph (which operated according to a proto-shofet system) so that's why I mentioned the Isaiah prophecies. As far the comment about the American model being the best option available, I'm supposing you're speaking about how the government should be run. I was speaking about the Church, so I must have misinterpreted your original comment. (I don't care how the government operates so I wouldn't have replied if I knew that was what you were saying. Biblically, there is no best government for sinners. The sad truth is that they will always destroy anything that's given to them.)
Most people assume that because they assume that hierarchy is connected to sin in some way, when it's actually a function of design. When something is designed, the purpose of every part is to serve every other part + the whole. It's even present in the Trinity.
There would me no criminal law. There would me civil law. If we are engaging in complex ventures, it would behoove us to make clear to each other what our respective roles are with respect to the venture, and God gives different gifts to different members of his body. There are some who would be gifted in the ability to help us recognize and work out these roles, and to draft a document outlining these with reasonable clarity. This person might be called _system analyst._ Or, perhaps, _lawyer._
You are not using the word entropy correctly. And is that our purpose to bring back Eden. I don’t see that so I’m curious to see how you get that. And so funny the quote of Lewis that medicine is not food where Hippocrates said Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food. Monarchy based on Christ would be ideal but any different than the God-based theocracy the Jews couldn’t stand? Yes the Jews are His people but they are an amazing negative example and yet they exist today and so many are exemplary. Since returning or getting real about my faith at 50 I find it so hard live with our sin. I meet couples/people who don’t have faith and they can be so sweet yet lost so I need help to find my inner evangelist so I can help people understand our need.

Perhaps gods are not kings, and vice versa

Perhaps Adam would be something along the lines of an Archduke under Christ the King.
I'm looking forward to having you with us this weekend in the Black Hills of South Dakota! Call on me if you need anything.
Have you ever read Civil Government by David Lipscomb? Would love to hear your take on it.
I always assumed the answer was, 'No, we wouldn't,' but now I see this differently. O! the futility of my own mind!!
Me too, sister!

Yes. There was no fall. It is a myth.
