    Yes and JD is offering a hybrid type tire that is used in Europe that is interesting because they run on pavement frequently as well as dirt. So I guess this is the 2 top brands matching each other.

    I have the R14 and so far they are great have 20 hours of dirt work and so far no issues at all getting into some deep piles or climbing grade fully loaded. I'm working in several days of rain/mud and no issues getting out of a mud pit. I would recommend them

    I wish that Bridgestone or one of the other tire companies would make tires for garden and compact utility tractors with the soft rubber just like the Blizzak tires so I could skip putting rough riding chains on the back of my Toro 522xi garden tractor. I even considered finding some car type 23” tall Blizzaks and using wheel spacers to run them on my 522xi.

      KingBigBabyJesus I have had my B2601 for 11 months and almost 100 hours. The R-14 tires were very impressive in the winter. I always ran it with a snow blade in front and a box blade in the rear for weight and never came close to being stuck. I had R-4 tires on my old tractor, but this new tractor with R-14 tires goes through our MN snow with ease. I can even plow snow uphill now!

  • @CoalChrome
    @CoalChrome 5 лет назад

    Those look like Nokian tires. Do the M6 tractors have them? Also we’ve got R4s on our L5030 and they work perfectly, although we need to air them down. That tractor is on a very hilly piece of property in middle southern TN, and they work perfectly, they’re wide (great stability on hills going sideways), they’re ballasted (not particularly special to them but due to the width it helps add weight), they wear great (it doesn’t see asphalt much), my one complaint is the fronts should be a little wider, but that’s it.

    • @CoalChrome
      @CoalChrome 5 лет назад

      Something neat about what Mahindra does, with some of their tires (our ‘03 5500 is this way) are ah tires, but they have the center line thing, the center of the lugs have a big knob on them, the tractor doesn’t really bounce at all, or make road noise, the knobs do wear pretty quick, but that’s probably because the tires (even after 16 years) aren’t really ‘hard rubber’.)

    Final a option beside turf and R4. R4 are worthless all the way around. They don't grip on grass like turf and are helpless in gravel,snow or mud. I would still pick a R1 any day of the week. This compact tractors had to go 4 wheel drive because of the R4 can't get out of its own way in 2 wheel drive.

    Being 6 lug does kubota rims fit other brands as well or are they all different to make life and costs more complicated? It appears as though the 6 lug kubota rim may fit something like Mahindra or John Deere tractors as well but I suspect they make their lug pattern different to keep it sort of proprietary and non interchangeable ?

    • @MessicksEquip

My other BX 4x4 has turf tires, it doesn't slide as much being 4 wheel drive but I still like the R14s the best. I only use 12 psi in turf tires to improve the traction and ride. Why all the mowers? I was interested in these until I saw what Goodyear's dress code involved. They will never get a dime of my money.

    So it's not actually a real tractor tire but a turf tire.

      Actually its more aggressive that an r 4 tire so I wouldn't say that its a turf tire. But I sure would like to see it on the turf to see what it does. Because I use my tractor on the turf and the dirt quite a bit and I also do a lot of driving on the road. So if this tire was easy on the turf it would probably be my next tire but I think its going to be a little more rough on the turf.

    R14!?! it's like they smashed together the R1 and R4.... could it have the traction of the R1 with the life of the R4?

    Good tread design but where's the beef, " it looks over half worn out new."

    It looks like a great choice for these lawn mowers they call sub compact tractors. Not a viable choice for a real tractor.

      They've been available for less than 6 months. Do you have a set you've worn out?
