To everyone complaining that the game is being played digitally, go look up how many pro players have been suspected of and confirmed caught cheating. Can't cheat in Arena. Sucks to suck, deal with it.
MC isn't an accurate representation of standard. There's a limited field, and that makes anti-metagame decks especially powerful because you're far less likely to run into unexpected brews. Simic Flash was built specifically to prey on Jeskai Fires, and it happened to be generally good because there were virtually no aggro decks (again, because of the limited field). That's also the reason that Flash hasn't been putting up big results in larger tournaments.

No. It has to be a valid card name (e.g. tokens are not valid targets either, unless they have same name as a card). However, "Wort, the Raidmother" would be ok, which is already quite close to your mother.

Planeswalkers and mythic rare cards....the scourge of MTG. Giving so much power to a single card ruins many otherwise exciting games. Why not introduce ultra-mythical-rare cards that are even stronger ;-)

Flash decks(izzet or semic) imo are just really good at beating fire decks. Otherwise they are pretty meh. Guess Brad made a poor meta game call, fires deck got smacked this tournament despite being called the best deck.

With Fire decks got killed off mostly at day1, and I remember there's only 2 fire deck at top8 and he had 3 adventure decks and 2 sac decks which are very very bad matchups for him, it is very impressive for him to reach all the way to the finals.
Arena matches make for terrible coverage. I am watching the turns and we are something like five turns in before anyone actually talks about what is happening in the game.

Arena is for practice for me to play paper. I like playing Paper Magic since it's way more fun to see your opponent's face to face and see them be shocked when they lose

I can't help but dislike this meta. Cats in the oven would be ok, but with Trail of Crumbs its too much.
Maybe if cleansing nova would be legal in standard, that would make things much more balanced...
After a few Arena games today, UW control with 3x Karn in maindeck and 2x Spyglass in sideboard seems to do the job :)

This is exactly why WoTC needs to implement a time limit cap for each turn.

@@Hamurowful standard is more around 100-300 Dollar (with a few outliers) depending on your archetype but yes, that too.
