wow... how cool would it be to... constantly travel japan on these trains all while writing a book or something like that... someone who makes a living writing... and then using the ambience and delightful experience to help be creative..
I follow a bunch of similar traveling channels without speaking mostly to help me fall asleep. But you, sir, are simultaniously the best and the worst of all of them, because your commentary is so legendary that instead of just leaving the video run just for background noise and falling asleep i am instead watching every second and laughing my ass off in bed. Its currently 2:30 am and i am dying laughing bc of the "my condolences". *insert the suffering from success meme here
your comments are HILARIOUS "maybe he became lost ... my condolences" and the "lets begin our journey to the plance my conciousness calls home and release myself from this agony we call life" xD
Videos like these make me want to visit Japan, I love public transport (Especially trains) and tech, and it's fun to see mountainous regions (Like we have in Austria) but with different architecture, alphabets and technology. Keep it up :)

Thank you for your comment! It seems to have gained popularity over the years. Hoping it doesn’t become a part of history like the rest of the Japanese sleeper trains!
I learned from some other Vlog, that it is now the only Overnight Sleeper operating in Japan. Nevertheless, Japan and Japanese are simply so enchanting. Everything about Japan and Japanese is like being in a state of trance or deep meditation…..calming and joyful.
I miss traveling 😩 but thanks to your videos, it felt like i was on the train again. ❤️ Keep up the good work, i will continue to support you 🙋♀️ high five!
Good sir.... With respect I must say your videos are amazing, relaxing and informative. I saw a similar video of a individual that took a train from Sydney too Perth in Australia on a wonderful train. Have ou seen it? I wish I could take and expereince that journey. Thank goodness we have you folks that entice us all too go do it all.
Thanks for your comment sorry I’m late! I watched a few Australian sleeper train videos but I haven’t seen an Australian steam train before! Thank you, I’ll watch it after!
Hi, I am an American, recently I became interested in Japan and am learning more about Japan, I am even learning their language, I love your sense of humor, thank you for making these videos...
It's a crime that the Twilight Express and Cassiopeia were discontinued. I feel like JR should have taken them under the Sunrise brand and maybe extended the services to Abashiri and Asahikawa.
It'd be pretty funny if somebody stepped out of the train at a stop for a little fresh air in their pajamas and the train doors closed and the train departed. lol. my poor sense of humor. thanks for the video!
I thought about that in one of his videos he steps out in his striped robe to watch them uncoupling the train😂 I held my breath until he got back on ..although…🤭it would make for great content 😂😂😂 if that happened 🤣
Cheers from another speed train country, France. Nothing comparable to your exquisite network and service though. I have travelled to Japan three times and I was always impressed by my shinkantsen experience, including of course the fabulous bento you buy on your way in! Trains are the way of the future. Cheers from Paris 😘
When you noticed how rare it is to see that JR conductor exchange I was thinking it was like a rare pokemon. Maybe someone threw a red and white ball at the JR conductor and captured him before he could check your ticket?
I wish we had trains like this here in Sweden, I have family living far away from me and it would be so convenient to take a sleeper train when I go visit them.
There was nobody in the train! Lots of empty beds...in europe it's s always the same story. Everything is sold out in moment.. But this was a great video,.thanks for sharing... ❤
We do still ride just don't have a cool and advance train system like Japan. We have sleeper train/ regular seated trains which I haven't tried the sleeping rooms for but the one I was on as just a daytime passenger two old lady's complained the sleeper beds or whatever they gave them were bad.
@@KazukoLight I would never trust sleeping rooms on a train in the US, or any country that's not Japan. The cleanliness and discipline norms are incomparable. In US you would probably find bugs, cum stains, blood, and needles everywhere lol.
You're right about that and I'll add the Japanese bus system to that. I once rode round trip on Amtrak from Denver, Colorado to Portland, Oregon for the Portland Marathon. It was fun except for I had a coach seat round trip. It looks like a bullet train line will be getting installed between Dallas, Texas and Houston, Texas with the trains being Shinkansen products. They are claiming the trip will take less than 1.5 hours one way. I'd take that trip to Dallas for no other reason probably than to ride the bullet train.
@@SoloSoloTravel I waved at you! Sorry, but I wasn’t on the other train or on the platform. This time. Next time I’m in Japan, I’m going to wave at every train, in case you’re passing through...😜
Brilliant videos...makes me take trains next time in Japan instead of car ... your train service over there is so much better than the ones for example in Germany
Love this! Hope JR would offer an exclusive overnight / all day/night sleeper train from Tokyo to Sapporo & from Tokyo to Fukuoka using THIS train (sunrise Seto) as what they did on their former Blue trains on JNR Era.

I'd just say travel across Japan by trains and buses.

Bed Size: (forgot to mention it in the video (sorry!))
Imperial (US): 78in x 29in
Metric (the rest of the world): 196cm x 75cm
196cm too short for dutch people
75cm too narrow for visitors from the US
@@FrankHuber Given the amount of complaints in one comment... You must be Dutch. LOL
So, most of The world is metric, yet you appease the Imperial world.
