    I follow a bunch of similar traveling channels without speaking mostly to help me fall asleep.
    But you, sir, are simultaniously the best and the worst of all of them, because your commentary is so legendary that instead of just leaving the video run just for background noise and falling asleep i am instead watching every second and laughing my ass off in bed.
    Its currently 2:30 am and i am dying laughing bc of the "my condolences".

    Videos like these make me want to visit Japan, I love public transport (Especially trains) and tech, and it's fun to see mountainous regions (Like we have in Austria) but with different architecture, alphabets and technology. Keep it up :)

      I learned from some other Vlog, that it is now the only Overnight Sleeper operating in Japan. Nevertheless, Japan and Japanese are simply so enchanting. Everything about Japan and Japanese is like being in a state of trance or deep meditation…..calming and joyful.

I saw a similar video of a individual that took a train from Sydney too Perth in Australia on a wonderful train. Have ou seen it? I wish I could take and expereince that journey.     It's a crime that the Twilight Express and Cassiopeia were discontinued. I feel like JR should have taken them under the Sunrise brand and maybe extended the services to Abashiri and Asahikawa.

I have travelled to Japan three times and I was always impressed by my shinkantsen experience, including of course the fabulous bento you buy on your way in! Trains are the way of the future.     When you noticed how rare it is to see that JR conductor exchange I was thinking it was like a rare pokemon. Maybe someone threw a red and white ball at the JR conductor and captured him before he could check your ticket?

    There was nobody in the train! Lots of empty beds...in europe it's s always the same story. Everything is sold out in moment.. But this was a great video,.thanks for sharing... ❤

      We do still ride just don't have a cool and advance train system like Japan. We have sleeper train/ regular seated trains which I haven't tried the sleeping rooms for but the one I was on as just a daytime passenger two old lady's complained the sleeper beds or whatever they gave them were bad.

      @@KazukoLight I would never trust sleeping rooms on a train in the US, or any country that's not Japan. The cleanliness and discipline norms are incomparable. In US you would probably find bugs, cum stains, blood, and needles everywhere lol.

      You're right about that and I'll add the Japanese bus system to that. I once rode round trip on Amtrak from Denver, Colorado to Portland, Oregon for the Portland Marathon. It was fun except for I had a coach seat round trip.
      It looks like a bullet train line will be getting installed between Dallas, Texas and Houston, Texas with the trains being Shinkansen products. They are claiming the trip will take less than 1.5 hours one way. I'd take that trip to Dallas for no other reason probably than to ride the bullet train.

    Love this! Hope JR would offer an exclusive overnight / all day/night sleeper train from Tokyo to Sapporo & from Tokyo to Fukuoka using THIS train (sunrise Seto) as what they did on their former Blue trains on JNR Era.

      Or it was the place for the TV set. On the Deluxe cabins it seems that it was on a rotating arm. They removed these CRT sets when TV changed from analog to digital.
