I went here as a young person and got a degree in landscape design. Fantastic Horticultural and Agricultural school. So sad. I never felt this kind of fear as a student in the 2000s. 🙏❤️🙏

The laws I want would hold the manufacturer liable for all damages caused by their product. Make the private sector liable for crimes committed by their products. Every gun manufacturer needs to be worried about controlling their supply chain better imo. It benefits companies to have their product used in every murder in the USA, at least they moved the units. We need companies running scared, shut them down with fines if a gun is used in a crime, they allowed it to be sold and the proximate cause of selling a gun is that it can be used for harm to others. That is clear proximate causation. Sale to a party without proper training is clear negligence. If they're so obsessed with the good guy with a gun narrative, let them figure out how to get them in the good guys hands, or else. I'm tired of the inability of leadership to protect citizens from the for profit murder tool industry. Make them pay if they are used commit a crime make them scared of all the guns they've pumped into our nation and whose hands they are in. I want every single gun company to be fiscally scared of the damages they're creating

Eventually this trend will trickle down to pillow makers, knife makers, pvc pipe makers, and so on until anything that can be a weapon will be sued into oblivion. Instead of fostering disdain for the manufacturer, why can’t you see past the haze and accept personal responsibility as the culprit for this man’s actions? This is terrible! My prayers go out to all the victims and there families. It's never talked about but it needs to be, doesn't anyone notice how these soulless cowards usually target crowds that defenseless!? Most of these shootings are in gun free zones, therefore the innocent citizens are basically defenseless!! This needs to change! @@Moriningland The US has an immigrant and minority problem, not a gun problem. We had 110,00 fentanyl deaths last year. That’s a border and immigration problem. We have around 15,000 drunk driving related seats per year. There are a lot more issues here than guns. We don’t keep criminals in jail because of “racism” and then they go out and commit more crimes. Lock them up forever. And those committing gun crimes in our big cities are likely carrying illegal guns. There isn’t a law in the world that would stop that. Criminals don’t follow the law. I know plenty of people with guns that have never killed anyone. That’s because they aren’t psychotic. They want to protect themselves from the maniacs out there. We have a huge mental health problem that goes on unchecked in this country (just watch TikTok and you’ll see). Guns are the least of our problems.

Unless gun companies are scared to have their product and their brand in the wrong hands, it benefits them to have every murder committed by their company. At least they moved product that way. The companies themselves need to be on the hook for serious amounts of money if they allow their product into the hands of a killer. As in shut the business down type money. Make a name of one major brand and they'll all get in line. If the public sector is stalled because of identity politics and inability of leadership to protect citizens, then let the private sector figure it out with regulation that makes it fiscally your responsibility if your brand is used in a crime. Make the brand pay the price, things will change quickly. Money talks more than bodies do apparently

@@larry_ellison Nope, not even close to fixing the issues. They don't sell guns to criminals, The dealers have to follow the laws on the books that are perfectly fine, as is. Many of the criminals have broken laws to get their weapons, some have not, but either way, there are millions of gun owners in the country who never do anything illegal, let alone murder people. If we were allowed to put actual criminals away, perhaps that would be the deterrent you're looking for. So, if a drunk driver kills someone with a car, are the car manufacturers or the beer manufacturers liable?

Terrible story , they shooild also look into why people have lived with no electric and heat in new york for over at least a year through the entire winter months , have been put in the position of running out of food , been physically hurt on job sites by employees, and why people in the surrounding area know that someone has been involved in doing it, why it went on for as long as it has gone on for ... Why dept in the state had put someone through terrible situations copying there ex girlfriend because they had gotten involved in there life to create terrible living standards and put someone through it purposely ... If you don't believe in laws and public safety, state that. If you do, why don't you support holding gun manufacturers liable for the damages they cause on a daily basis? Sale of a weapon, involves proximate causation of damages thereafter as you chose to make the sale and profit from the sale of something dangerous that you know could cause harm, you took the gamble for a buck of profit they wouldn't do so. Sales to those who cannot use or do not intend to use your product safely is negligence. Gun companies get a free ride and face no consequences for their role in these crimes
