    Whoever claims that Drogba wasn`t a top tier striker doesn`t know football. This man changed how the game was played in England, everyone had striker partnerships until Drogba came along, The man was so well rounded, he had it all, pace, strength aerial presence he could lead the line himself. He was always a handful and a nightmare even for the best defenders, physically there weren`t many that could match Didier. His score in finals speaks for itself, he was born for the big occasion.

    He was one of the greatest players of 2005-2015s era. Simply because he was a one man forward force. He could break defences with his runs; he could break defences with his back to the goal; he could break defences in the air; and, he could break defences with clutch goals. He was everything that a center forward needed to be. He could lead the line. I judge how good a striker is based on their ability to break a defence, and Drogba was a genius at that.

And of course, as with Barcelona in the semis, Bayern were all over us and we played with our backs to the wall relying on Cech to save us. Great video man! Mind if I suggest adding the Chelsea vs Barca controversial match when Drogba went into the camera and get suspended.
    That made the Chelsea board to resign him that summer but Marina fought for him and the rest is history :) .

      Thanks! Good point. Yeah I did mention the match at 09:52, but you're right; that was the turning point for Marina's career. If it weren't for her, Drogba would have been shipped away immediately!

    Drogba was a beast, he could do it all alone in the front line. He put Ivory Coast back on scene and stopped civil war in his country. You won't find a better striker with a BMT, he scored in many finals. He's a modern day Muhammed Ali and cultural icon.

    Drogba is so clutch and one underrated skill he has is that he uses his body and skill to keep the ball close in the corner when they are leading hard to get the ball off him

  • @aidanjanemcintosh6919
    @aidanjanemcintosh6919 Год назад +2

    Drogba is a really good goalscorer, yes, but for me personally what makes him a monster is his postplay. He could hold 2 defenders on his back, using force, while safely sending the ball to another teammates to score. Pair him with Lampard, that can score any kind of balls from everywhere, and the team will become unstoppable. It's kinda scary to imagine prime Drogba together with prime Messi.
